Responsible for data entry of daily production paperwork to meet product/customer requirements. Provides administrative support. Gathers and interprets data collected and compiles for distribution in department meetings. Responsible for monitoring and ensuring the correct labeling of identification, tracking and scaling information on boxes of products exiting the packaging process. Ensures proper functionality of equipment utilized during scaling process.

This position is accountable for providing effective direction and coordination for the assigned plant through a group of first-line Production Supervisors. The plants have operations ranging from non-skilled, semi-skilled and skilled production employees. Plants produce products to meet scheduled commitments and may operate up to three shifts per day seven days a week. Guides and advises production supervisors in interpretation of plant and company policies and procedures. Takes appropriate action to maximize production yields, plans for future capacity and maintains flexibility in the production operations needed due to the variances.  This is a 2nd shift position working primarily M-F with weekends as needed.

As part of our FS/QA team, you would conduct routine sanitation checks, ensuring that HAACP and USDA regulations are strictly enforced. Providing technical expertise to track product from start to finish, and develop corrective actions when needed. You will be responsible for ensuring that we are able to safely deliver the best Smithfield, Eckrich, Nathan’s Famous, or any of our product brands to customers and consumers.   Responsible for the overall accountability of ensuring the food safety system at the plant is properly written, documented and implemented - thus ensuring USDA regulatory compliance and the production of safe and wholesome meat and poultry products. This position has a dual and equal reporting structure to the Corporate Manager of Food Safety and the facility’s Food Safety Manager. This reporting structure ensures a facility’s food safety system continues to flourish without unnecessary decreases in operational productivity and efficiency.
