Job Summary The Tools and Parts Attendant receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment, such as measuring devices, in an industrial establishment. Principal Accountabilities Keep records of tools issued to and returned by workers, searches for lost or misplaced tools Prepare periodic inventory or keeps perpetual inventory and requisitions stock as needed. Unpack and store new equipment. Visually inspect tools or measures with micrometer for wear or defects and reports damaged or worn-out equipment to superiors. May coat tools with grease or other preservative, using a brush or spray gun May attach identification tags or engrave identifying information on tools and equipment using electric marking tool. Here you will have variety - some hours will be early morning, weekends and holidays on an as needed basis. DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES? Do you have a CDL-Class A license? Yes, you've got it, that's a large truck! Do you have previous experience with DSD (Direct Store Delivery)? Wow, we REALLY love you! But it's okay if you don't. Know how to use smart phones or tablets? That's all the tech knowledge you'll really need. Able to balance daily receipts? You are good to go. Able to easily lift a large cooler filled with drinks and ice, a Costco size bag of dog food or a child around age 7? That's about 50 pounds which is what you'll need to be able to lift. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (additional responsibilities may be assigned)  Follow established procedures and guidelines to promote and sell the organization's products within an assigned geographic area, product range, or list of customer accounts to meet sales targets. Pursue sales leads, personally visits existing and new customers, assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services, prepares price quotations, delivery dates and service obligations to meet established revenue targets. Develop sales skills and knowledge of the organization's products, services, and customers by working closely with a more experienced sales representative. Familiarizes existing and new customers with new products and market developments. May troubleshoot and handle customer related inquiries. Keeps information on competitive products, promotional matters, sales techniques, pricing and marketing policies. Informs company of competitive activity and conditions that would affect company interests. May be responsible for merchandising activities as a point of servicing accounts to make room for more product placement including stocking shelves, cleaning shelves, stocking cold boxes and building displays. Job duties include working nights and weekends on promotional activities and other account activities.
