Concordance Healthcare Solutions has an opening for a Driver Supervisor in our Andersonville, TN distribution center. The primary role of the Driver Supervisor is aiding in the leadership and direction for the department; this includes management of all driver and loading personnel, ensuring customer satisfaction and that all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations are met. Essential Functions: The Driver Supervisor will be responsible for the overall management of the department. The individual will be responsible for possessing full understanding of the goals and objectives of the relationship between Concordance and our customer base, implementing strategies to support those goals and objectives. Responsibilities include organizing the workload of department and directing employees accordingly. Reviews accuracy of daily ELD/driver logs; updates and completes qualification file for drivers, including DOT physicals and drug & alcohol testing; conducts driver road tests as needed; plans and presents Driver Safety Meetings; maintains vehicle compliance and all vehicle service records in accordance with FMCSA regulations Plays a key role in interviewing and hiring quality staff members; overseeing a strong training regimen for new staff; developing new and experienced workers; managing staff; conducting DOT driver compliance reviews and performance management reviews, as well as performance improvement plans and termination of staff, if necessary Required to have thorough knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and DOT regulations Participates in DOT audits and monitor Compliance/Safety/Accountability ratings Responsible for recording fuel consumption for Tiffin fleet for the purpose of filing IFTA (fuel tax reporting) Assists Operations Manager in the establishment of new routes, modifications, and naming of subsequent drivers Assists in the search of and evaluation of delivery vehicles and equipment Primary contact for all vehicle maintenance/repairs for service providers and driver contact Coordinates equipment set-ups with Warehouse or Operations Manager Substitute drives, as needed. Person named will not be able to maintain a regularly scheduled daily route as a primary responsibility Communicates any observed issues or concerns to immediate supervisor for investigation Adheres to company, departmental, and DOT policies and procedures Works together with fellow associates as a team to promote the goals, profitability, and common good of the company; must work in a safe, efficient, and respectful manner with other personnel Performs all other duties as assigned What You will Need to be Successful: High school diploma, equivalent or higher Possession of Class A or B CDL, or willing to obtain within 3 months. Clean driving record. Previously displayed leadership characteristics such as working well with others, sharing expertise with fellow peers, functioning with tact and diplomacy, and presenting an overall positive attitude Works hours will be required to be flexible Excellent previous attendance history Able to work with minimal supervision Must be able to lift/pull/carry at least 70 pounds, with or without accommodation Strong customer service, problem solving, time management, and organizational skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively build relationships are essential Self-starter with a positive attitude Must be a minimum of 21 years of age Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment DOT drug screening, physical and background check Work Location: This role will be located in Andersonville, TN We offer great benefits and competitive pay!
