Industrial Mechanic Job Description Technical Skill Requirements:  Knowledgeable about industry/military maintenance and repair principles and standards  Perform tasks per checklists in accordance with standard safety procedures  Completes records such as work orders, testing records, and checklists  Mechanical experience with electric motors and/or gear boxes, welding, or repairing and replacing mechanical components on industrial or heavy equipment.  Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, including but not limited to: winding machines, test panels, core-loss tester, cut-off saws, burnout ovens, bake ovens, grinders, cranes, tow motor, brazing units, dip tanks, VPI systems and various hand-held power and non-power tools  Experience with electrical testing, insulation/megger testing and using a multi-meter  The ability to read blueprints, schematics and shop drawings  Experience using calipers and reading micrometers – machining ability a significant plus  Own or purchase your own tools Objectives  Observe all safety procedures and policies and use proper protective equipment (eye, ear, steel toe shoes / boots, gloves, etc.)  Critically evaluate your own work so that it may be defect free  Be physically fit to be able to stand for long periods, bend, twist, kneel and lift 50 lbs. without injury  Use at a basic level, computers, scanning devices, cameras, tablets and other electronics.  Inspect, tear down, diagnose, and repair industrial equipment  Assist in all aspects repair of equipment as directed by your supervisor.  Fill out paperwork completely and legibly  Keep work area clean and organized.  Willing and able to work overtime, weekdays and weekends, and be available to respond to customer emergencies. Corrective and preventive maintenance of high-speed canning line and auxiliary equipment. Facilities maintenance, boilers, air compressors, glycol systems, lighting, plumbing, etc. Train and help develop operators and line employees Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing non-maintenance personnel on the safe operation of all equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. Help with sanitation and care of all equipment. Completes all tasks and assignments given from Operations Manager in a timely manner. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. This will include working weekends and off shift hours on occasion.  Having a flexible schedule and ability to work long hours.         Qualifications:   3-5 years industrial maintenance experience. Able to read blue prints and schematics. Good working knowledge electricity. 3-phase high and low voltage. Single phase voltage and DC control voltage. Good working knowledge of Plumbing. Pneumatics, hydraulics, water, gas and steam. Basic knowledge of PLC, VFD, and control circuitry Food manufacturing experience preferred (knowledge of canning a plus) Must have excellent troubleshooting skills Must have own tools Must be physically fit enough to preform duties of the job to include but not limited to squatting, stooping, kneeling, crawling, lifting, twisting, etc. Must be able to work in hot and cold environments. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Cannot be afraid of heights.

Administer all operation and ensure efficiency of all production equipments. Ensure operation of all equipments and maintain safety for same and evaluate all work and maintain accuracy for same. Assist to clean up facility for all production lines clean up and perform all sanitation for warehouse activities. Administer all production flow and collaborate with supervisor to identify all process and equipment issues. Perform regular inspection for all hazards. Maintain neat and clean area at all times and ensure compliance to all housekeeping standards and assist to scrape all labels and barrels. Monitor all shape blocks and assist to clean out all dies. Assist to perform all clean out procedures with help of ethylenes and propylenes. Provide training to all training operators. Collaborate with production department procedures according to instruction book and maintain an efficient continuous improvement.     Job Requirements Production experience required Experience in a food/beverage processing facility is required.
