The Role The Compromised Data (CD) team is responsible for leading the assessment, investigation, and mitigation of compromised data incidents across the Wells Fargo enterprise, including ensuring data breach notifications to government regulators and individuals are handled appropriately. This role will report directly to the Head of Incident Response for Compromised Data. As a leader within the Compromised Data Center of Excellence team, you will be responsible for: Managing incident review activities between front line and second line governance teams. Managing regulator relationships and reporting for the Compromised Data Center of Excellence Leading a compromised data team within Enterprise Global Services (EGS) to perform incident response. Leading and directing activities with a team of EGS incident responders managing incidents (domestically and across international lines and multiple time zones covering 24/7/365, including after-hours on call support). Working with leaders and team members at all levels and across functional and international lines, often in complex and challenging situations requiring early warning or rapid response. Leading and directing the Compromised Data Center of Excellence regulatory relationships in addressing regulator concerns and inquires, providing regulators monthly and quarterly reports, early warning notifications, state breach reporting and communicating significant CD Center of Excellence changes in conjunction with the law department (including: state, federal and international regulators - OCC, FRB, CFPB, FDIC, supervisory authorities, etc.) Ensuring a strong control environment to supporting the program in the transition and in building the business as usual state for domestic and international incidents. Ensuring execution and adherence of the new CD Policy which the Compromised Data Center of Excellence will be governed by; ensuring incident handling is in accordance with documented processes and procedures. Execution and ongoing governance over the Front-Line, Line of Business, working with the Group Compromised Data Business Leader to identify trends and formulate strategic action plans to mitigate risk. Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the Compromised Data Incident Response processes This leader will need to establish and maintain effective domestic and international working relationships with US and non-US regulators, partners (legal, audit, etc.), lines of business, governance, etc., to effectively drive results, obtain/provide feedback and direction. The Consumer Control team is specifically responsible for the management of non-financial risk within Consumer Banking including operational risk, compliance risk, model risk, reputation risk and strategic risk. This senior leader will be responsible for leading the Group Remediation Management program within the Consumer Control team. This candidate will oversee a team responsible for monitoring and reporting the status of customer remediation action plans. In conjunction with business and risk-aligned control teams, the Remediation Management leader will be responsible for the review of the sufficiency of action plans, overseeing the effective remediation and sustainability of processes within Consumer Banking with relevant remediations owners. This role will provide insight for business and control leadership into key remediations activities such that management has adequately evaluated root causes, identified appropriate action plans, and is delivering to plan or where additional resources may be required. In addition, the role will be responsible for ensuring escalating remediations through the Enterprise escalation tool, building processes around how notifications should be sent, and reporting to senior leadership. The Remediation Management leader will manage a small team and a large matrixed team of control and risk professionals and work cross functionally with multiple support partners. The candidate will work closely with other senior leaders across Consumer Banking and the company in the development and execution of company's issues, remediation, and change strategies. Specific Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with company-wide policies Ensure equivalent remediation intake processes across Consumer Banking Maintain remediation mapping (process, risk and controls, third parties) Drive consistency through standards, playbooks, and procedures, templates as needed Challenge the effectiveness and efficiency of action plans, as needed Identify and report on key remediation pipeline and action plan trends and/or concentrations, and emerging risks Complete remediation thematic analysis Successful candidate will have ability to distill complex concepts into simplified/targeted solutions, communicate those concepts effectively and ensure that all deliverables are met. They will use both vision and analysis to identify business problems and build compelling fact-based strategic recommendations. They will build and maintain strong credible relationships with key stakeholder groups including Consumer Control Team Executive, Consumer Risk Operations and Program Management Control Executive, Consumer Banking Business Unit Aligned Control Teams, Consumer Banking Business Management, and Independent Risk Management. The Team Member will provide oversight and challenge to first line compliance activities and will execute certain activities that comprise the WFAM risk-based compliance program to assure compliance with significant regulatory requirements (i.e., SEC, NFA), as well as corporate policies. This Team Member will help to create, review and produce compliance client reporting deliverables for the WFFM Fund Board of Directors as well as certain sub advised and institutional clients (206(4)-7 report, 38a-1 report, NFA Self Exam and compliance client reporting mandates. The Team Member will assist the Compliance Manager in designing and developing compliance process and control activities and methodologies, and will consult with senior compliance and business management on compliance policies, procedures, and controls for the respective business/functional area. The Team Member will also ensure identified compliance issues are escalated, addressed and validated in accordance with corporate policies. The primary responsibilities will be to lead GIM Data Operations at the Corporate Risk Business Control level, which includes but is not limited to issue life cycle management, adherence to issues management policy, issue owner interaction models and process management and improvement.
