The Credit Risk Analytics Consultant 2 is responsible for performing various complex activities related to business analysis and/or modeling. Duties may include performing complex analysis and/or modeling that assesses the market, credit and/or operational risk of new and existing products, maximizes profits and/or asset growth and minimizes credit and/or operating losses and other risk exposures; providing analytical support on wholesale and/or retail credit, operating losses and other product strategies to ensure company goals are met; segmenting and monitoring various credit, deposit and other product groups, vintages, concentration limits, risk ratings, etc. and making recommendations to management based on those trends; producing performance monitoring and benchmarks regarding growth, mix, delinquency, losses, grade migration, and overall profitability and performance; coordinating and consolidating the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for senior management; reviewing and analyzing trends in current population distributions and recommending strategies. May develop more complex programming models to extract data and/or manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling. May manage the roll-out of pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models for supported business or product line. May manage large scale cross functional/cross business unit projects and regulatory requests. May be responsible for process production, data reconciliation and model documentation in alignment with policy governance. Job Responsibilities will include: Analysis of business performance/risk reporting and analytics for WFEF; mainly to support "Wholesale-Basel Retail Treatment". Participate with IT initiatives and any reporting changes/documentation Actively participate with WFEF Model owner and modeling COE for all WFEF owned models to ensure all models are developed, used, and monitored appropriately. Other duties as assigned Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements. Required Qualifications 5+ years of risk reporting experience, risk analytics experience, or a combination of both; or a Master s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as mathematics, economics, or engineering and 3+ years of risk reporting experience Desired Qualifications Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Other Desired Qualifications 5+ years of risk reporting experience, risk analytics experience, or a combination of both 3+ years Reporting/Data experience within Wholesale Commercial Lending Bachelor Degree or higher degree with accounting, finance, or general business Knowledge of Probability of Default and Loss Given Default concepts, modeling experience a plus Basel Knowledge (specifically Retail Treatment) and Capital Allocation Knowledge/Experience, with the WFEF business, products and processes Experience with WFEF Systems (AIMS, Infolease, etc.) Six Sigma Experience (Black Belt Certification preferred) SAS, SQL, BO or Qlikview exp Underwriting experience or knowledge of credit risk concepts • Ability to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment Job Expectations This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results.
