Aetna Description: Title: Senior Software Development Engineer 66682 Fundamental Components: Participate in enhancing Aetna's big data processing framework functionalities by developing data ingestion modules and perform data ingestion. Perform data cleansing, building data structures, and pipelines to organize and manage large scale data to generate insights using technologies such as Structured Query Language (SQL), Linux Scripts, Python and R programming. Build the infrastructure required for optimal Extraction/ Transformation/ Load (ETL) for big data use cases, loading of data from a wide variety of data sources like RDBMS, external Application Programming Interfaces (API). Attend team meetings to support change requests and/or modifications to customize ingestion framework. Work with analytics teams to track and close the data required needs within the stipulated timeframe and to create dashboards. Validate the requirements by conducting work product inspection and work product review with all of the stakeholders. Participate in Agile planning process and work with stakeholders on the projects including the Quality Assurance team. Attend the sprint planning biweekly to plan the project work to be taken into the next sprint based on the determined priorities. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including automating manual Perform encryption if required, optimizing data delivery processes and ensuring the data quality and integrity into the Aetna's Data Fabric. Background Experience: Education Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering Requirements Minimum 1 year of software engineering or system engineering experience. Must have experience with data transformations; streamlining ETL pipelines on tools including Informatica; data structures; and with algorithms handling for design of modular and reusable programming components. Must also have programming experience in languages including PL/SQL; Unix; Object oriented principles; and experience working with unstructured data.
