It all begins with you. Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company and maintains and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting; Treasury; corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions; Data Management and Insights, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, Enterprise Shared Services, Business Process Management, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, team members, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. They also maintain and enhance risk and financial controls and lead many of the company's shared services functions including corporate properties, security, and global services. The Team The team is primarily responsible for providing strategic leadership, leading and ensuring seamless coordination and execution of cross-business finance initiatives, partnering with the COEs, driving greater consistency across Business Finance, and providing primary support for enterprise initiatives spanning multiple businesses. The Role Optimizing how we organize and deliver staff services and operations, and coordinate investments Reducing complexity to simplify and improve how we deliver on critical activities, such as managing risk and achieving regulatory compliance Simplify the Finance disciplines and increase effectives while reducing costs Continue to provide our business partners with strategic and trusted Finance advice, consultation, and technical expertise Create a One Wells Fargo experience for Finance team members as we continue to leverage, retain and develop key talent and the next generation of leaders Maintain and strengthen Risk Controls Cross Business Initiatives is looking to fill a key leadership role. The position will work closely with the line of business Finance managers, the Group Finance Officers, the Enterprise Finance Centers of Excellence, Project Management, Strategy, Human Resources and a variety of other enterprise partners to lead and support Finance and Enterprise projects and initiatives. The incumbent must have the ability to analyze and understand complex business models and accurately assess resulting impacts. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence both directly and indirectly for desired outcomes. The position also calls for key prioritization and time management skills, in order to quickly assess the top priority in fast moving situations, act independently and keep Senior Management up to date at all times. Outstanding leadership skills and the proven ability to foster a culture of strong consultation and collaboration, sound controls, and continuous improvement will be determining factors in selection. The future incumbent will: Lead and support the transition work that must be completed in support of E&E 2020 for the Finance functional area Provide finance leadership across a wide variety of enterprise initiatives that span multiple business lines Provide overall leadership and direction to the work streams/initiatives Identify resources (Stakeholders, Enterprise Transformation Office, Risk, HR, Communications, Enterprise Project Management, etc.) Day to day decisions, coaching and influence Develop the plan and timeline for the implementation, working with the transition program structure and partners (HR, Risk, Communications, stakeholders) Escalation and issue resolution Communication of updates and progress Establish the forums and infrastructure to connect the dots vertically and horizontally-across functions and LOBs Plan for socializing and keeping LOBs impacted up to date Arbitrate and negotiate on design and implementation recommendations Provide timely and easily understood information to key stakeholders Collaborate with lines of businesses finance teams and enterprise stakeholders to provide meaningful financial measures and benchmarks Help create a culture of expense discipline and continual improvement in operational efficiencies Maintain current knowledge of best practices in finance industry and proactively incorporate The Candidate Leadership and credibility will be determining factors in selection. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting Desired Qualifications A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting Ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment Strong presentation skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to identify inefficiencies, opportunities to streamline business processes, and implement change Experience with strategy development and implementation Budgeting, forecasting, and cost benefit analysis skills Other Desired Qualifications Incumbent should have experience managing in a high-growth, fast-paced environment and should be comfortable with change management Demonstrated excellence at identifying stakeholders, understanding needs, and driving to resolution Strong critical thinking skills Demonstrated ability to formulate a strategic perspective M.B.A. or equivalent experience Job Expectations Ability to travel up to 5% of the time Salary Information The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
