Job Requirements and Preferences : Basic Qualifications : Minimum Degree Required : High School Diploma Minimum Years of Experience : 4 year(s) Preferred Qualifications : Degree Preferred : Bachelor Degree Preferred Fields of Study : Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Technology Certification(s) Preferred : Microsoft, Linux, VMWare Preferred Knowledge/Skills : Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a technical team leader and systems engineer in the configuration, operation and management of applications, servers, storage and technology infrastructure, including the following areas: Driving application and server support with industry knowledge of ITIL service management principles; Demonstrating technical understanding that spans multiple platforms and application level specialties of a portfolio of applications with knowledge of the business strategic priorities, in order to resolve complex problems; Exhibiting experience using ITSM systems such as Service Now or similar in an ITIL framework; Managing Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy; Utilizing VMware products (vCenter, ESXi,); Building, maintaining, migration and troubleshooting processes of virtual machines; Understanding the use of the following storage platforms: EMC Unity, Isilon, Data Domain; Showcasing Windows 2012 R2 and 2016 and Linux Red Hat Enterprise server administration skills, software installations, application of patches, management of file systems, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting alerts; Understanding Powershell scripting and automating daily tasks; Exhibiting skills in Microsoft SQL Database administration, reporting and troubleshooting; Highlighting knowledge in Microsoft SCCM Patch management and SCOM Windows server monitoring applications; Understanding server backup and recovery technologies such as Netbackup; and; Utilizing analytical skills when evaluating potential solutions. Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or proven record of success as a team leader and systems engineer in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex application problems, as well as leveraging tools and resources appropriately, to identify solutions that may or may not be already documented, which includes utilizing technical capabilities, analytical skills and application know-how including the following areas: Showcasing experience in business and operational technology management; Managing of multiple conflicting deadlines and competing priorities; Identifying trends and escalating issues to the appropriate contacts; Operating and administering specific services in support of the firm's enterprise architecture vision and applicable technical standards; Working collaboratively with the service manager, other members of the managed service and implementation teams, and individuals who support enabling technologies used by the service; Exercising due diligence when assessing operational risks and proposing technical solutions that will meet service manager expectations; Developing and maintaining technical processes, including supporting documentation, associated with the establishment and operation of specific collaboration services; Implementing technical solutions that align with the firm's technology vision as laid out by the solution architects; Developing and maintaining a current understanding of the technical architecture and designs, and all relevant enabling technologies; Defining and maintaining administrative processes that support existing and new collaboration services and capabilities; Working in complex technical environments; and, Managingclient requirements, project workflows, and preparing or coordinating complex written and verbal materials related to technical problem solving.
