PARSONS Program Manager/ Director - Transportation Infrastructure Opportunity: Looking for opportunity to grow a strong team? Parsons is now hiring a Program Director/ Manager who can lead a team of professionals overseeing every phase of large scale projects or programs supporting our Transportation Infrastructure projects in Washington State. Parsons' extensive experience in transportation, combined with your significant management and technical experience, will provide opportunity for tangible contributions to the Puget Sound region. We need our Program Director to be versatile as well as have exceptional communication, analytical and management skills. In this role you provide management and direction for one engineering department or a major section within one of the larger disciplines. You will recruit, interview, and evaluate prospective employees as well as hire, offer personnel development, conduct performance evaluations, counsel employees, take corrective actions (as required), and approve terminations. As a senior local company representative you will also be responsible for managing state and local agency relationships to ensure client satisfaction in our transportation market. Responsibilities : Acts as the Company representative with the client and subcontractors during the program execution. Negotiates changes to scope of work with the client and key subcontractors. Collaborates with Business Development to market and secure additional work with client. Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the project. Participates in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients. Oversees establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required. Establishes program requirements for all areas of the project, and monitors deliverables for adherence to these criteria. Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project. Assigns responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths. Provides input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates. Mobilizes company resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work. Works with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans. Works with key project individuals to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, and accommodate significant scope changes while maintaining strong client relationships at all levels. Reports on the progress of all activity within the program and conditions which could affect project cost or schedule. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) 20+ years of related work experience, including supervisory/managerial experience Experience with WSDOT and City of Seattle road & highway projects is highly desirable Significant managerial experience of a large group of engineers, designers, and technical support personnel Professional Engineer ( PE) registration is required Proven ability for managing a large group of engineering/technical personnel Directing work involving complex technical situations Excellent written and oral communications skills Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required Proven client relationship management coupled with high emotional intelligence _ Ready for action?
