The HR Manager, Project Management and Analytics will be both a hands-on and strategic role that provides project leadership and support to the HR Operations, Recruiting and Learning & Development teams.
Reporting to the CHRO, the HR Manager will lead, monitor and control the execution of HR project initiatives, to include integrating change management and training requirements to ensure successful implementations, driving process improvement and providing superior customer support.
This role will combine HR with project management expertise, while leveraging the blended skillset of an HR Business Partner and Project Manager, to consult and manage projects from original concept through successful change management and final implementation.
Will also be responsible for HR metrics & analysis and developing global dashboards in conjunction with U.S. and India HR teams.
Partners with HR Leadership Team, HR Operations, Recruiting, and Learning & Development to assess current state and identify HR initiatives to improve overall effectiveness of HR function
Establishes partnerships and surveys business stakeholders for regular feedback to ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction (employee, manager and senior leadership levels)
Leads, monitors and controls the execution of HR project initiatives; drives and monitors issues and risks to keep project initiatives on track
Benchmarks programs to industry, researches solutions and makes recommendations
Monitors overall HR compliance activities
Creates comprehensive and effective change management strategies to mitigate risk and ensure project success
Uses HR and project experience to confidently question the status quo, challenge assumptions, and make course corrections where necessary
Owns major end-to-end processes and events on a project, takes initiative, and uses problem solving skills to think beyond the task to the outcome that needs to be achieved
Partners with HR and Business project sponsors to bring definition to a project; creates project plan by outlining scope, objectives, deliverables, dependencies, resource requirements, and timelines
Develops project plans in collaboration with sponsors and stakeholders to execute strategic HR initiatives, distribute work among team members (including self, this role will also execute project deliverables), set expectations, and relentlessly drive to deliver projects with excellence, on time and on budget
Uses broad knowledge of HR to lead team members to approach the project in a manner that results in a cohesive and integrated solution
Independently gathers information from a variety of sources; to analyze, interpret, and summarize data gathered, and to deliver insights
Provides feedback to project team members as necessary for high performance
Facilitates problem-solving activities to define problems, assess current state root causes, design and test solutions, and implement solutions leading to desired outcomes tied to business results
Stays abreast of leading edge HR practices, trends and information; maintains awareness of employee engagement strategies and innovative tactics being applied in the marketplace
Translates strategies into current and future action plans
Addresses business issues which are beyond immediate needs
Handles work situations which deal regularly with future business issues
Synthesizes many perspectives or conflicting ideas
Manages resources (people, budgets, technology)
Partners with key managers and stakeholders and analyzes issues and problems from the customer perspective
Manages internal customer relationships for long-term value
Plans performance measurements to meet organizational goals
Education and Experience:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
Preferred Major: Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a closely related field
8-10 years of overall HR experience including a minimum of 3+ years managing, leading and implementing project initiatives and 3+ years of HR Consulting
Demonstrated experience and in-depth training in Project Management and Change Management
PMP Certification preferred
Change Management Certification preferred
Experience with HR Technology Systems and Tools
Proficient in Microsoft Office product suite with advanced skills in building management presentations and utilizing Excel
Outstanding ability to manage relationships and balance customer, project, organization, and team needs to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes
Excellent consultative skills and ability to communicate effectively across varied stakeholder audiences, including senior organizational leaders
Ability to translate complicated project concepts (milestones, risks, desired outcomes, decision options, etc.)
Possesses strong strategic orientation, analytical skills, critical thinking ability, and evaluate broad impacts of work
Demonstrated leadership capability, including ability to lead, influence, and motivate others in the work group
Proven ability to work with minimal guidance, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and take initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances
Comfortable working in a high volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing, results-oriented work environment
Demonstrated successful application of project management methodology, tools, and best practices
Must be able to develop and clearly and concisely present a professional product to multiple levels of management
Must be well organized, able to prioritize work, manage time effectively, and follow through on commitments
Experience in effective change management techniques and implementation
Possesses broad knowledge covering multiple Human Resources functions
Experience with organizational design and process improvement
Will require some travel, 10-15%.
Industry knowledge of technology and healthcare fields a plus
