Wells Fargo Technology Regulatory Adherence (TRA) team is responsible for the management, coordination, and governance of the operational processes for identification, validation, and mapping (e.g. to policy, etc.) of all technology-related regulations and authoritative guidance globally. The team is accountable for reviewing new and revised regulatory compliance content to understand key requirements and determine if Wells Fargo Technology has established controls to cover requirements and mitigate risk. This review and assessment process requires extensive leadership and analytical skills when partnering with Divisional Control teams and process/control owners across multiple teams in the Technology organization. This Operational Risk Consultant 5 - Regulatory Adherence role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience of FinTech regulatory risk management. This individual analyzes technology regulatory coverage, identifies control gaps and works with the technology owner to drive implementation of appropriate controls to comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Additionally, performs business management best practices to keep program documents / evidence audit ready and organized. Tracks program initiatives, conducts internal Quality Assurance testing, executes monitoring of controls according to risk, documents results and escalates identified risk to Technology Council. Supports initiatives to train Technology function owners on control requirements and risks associated with non-compliance. This Consultant position has key role accountability in Regulatory Adherence including, but not limited to: Serving as a Business Support Lead providing strong document management to support the Technology Regulatory Adherence Program and evidence of internal business controls in place to mitigate risks Draft clear and concise procedures aligned to Regulatory Adherence Program execution, including effective guidance to train, communicate and reinforce regulatory adherence Supports initiatives to educate Technology functions on technology and compliance requirements according to regulatory requirements Measure and review control inventory to ensure adherence with applicable regulatory requirements Consult with process owners to design controls that address gaps in processes Provide business support management across Technology Regulatory Adherence program Participate in the planning, executing and reporting validation activities regarding control environment process divisions and/or regions Ensure the development and distribution of timely and accurate compliance management reporting Assist with the process of continuous monitoring and inventorying of regulatory requirements (e.g., FFIEC Guidance, OCC Heightened Standards, etc.) applicable to Technology Control within the front line, which includes the ongoing assessment of existing front line technology control capabilities against such requirements to identify and remediate risk Assists with technology risk assessments and reports on findings, consults on remediation plans, tracks status, aggregates results and reports to senior leadership The Operational Risk Consultant 5 will interact with business and technology stakeholders of varying levels of seniority, and will work independently across a large, complex, and global organization to ensure efficient and successful execution of the TRA operational processes. Must have solid technology and risk management experience. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 10+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both Desired Qualifications Advanced Microsoft Office skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Ability to interact with all levels of an organization Experience with technology related regulatory requirements and frameworks including: FFIEC, COBIT, COSO, NIST, ITIL Experience researching impacts to the enterprise resulting from changes in laws or regulations and developing a company response Ability to coordinate completion of multiple tasks and meet aggressive time frames Knowledge and understanding of requirements management and project management practices/process Knowledge and understanding of Six Sigma or reengineering disciplines Other Desired Qualifications Experience providing consultation for policy development incorporating regulatory requirements Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to Technology Experience understanding of controls, risk frameworks, risk management & regulatory demands Solid project management and business support best practices, methodologies and the project lifecycle Analytic skills and process design; ability to build meaning reporting and dashboards Excellent written skills and experience of drafting policies and procedures Has experience of managing senior stakeholders and ability to build strong relationships Collaborative style with ability to quickly build trust and credibility Job Expectations Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Disclaimer All offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a criminal background check.
