We are hiring for experienced and qualified Senior Planners for the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Project: This project will update the Alaska Response Plan which is an annex to the Regional All Hazards Plan (AHP). Period of Performance: The project will likely start in late May or June 2019. The period of performance will be one year (12 months). Travel: This project will include multiple funded trips to Alaska. Location: U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) 130 228th Street S.W. Bothell, Washington, 98021 Senior Planner Responsibilities: Leads a planning team through the FEMA six-step planning process to develop deliberate plans that describe and detail a federal concept of operations to respond to and recover from catastrophic disasters. Responsible for leading all aspects of team support to FEMA planning efforts. Serves as the primary point of contact for contractor team work assignments and reporting. Ensures deliverables are on schedule, consistent with FEMA doctrine/guidance, and meet Performance Work Statement requirements. Assists in the preparation and writing of the scenario, fact sheets, Information Analysis Briefs, plan Courses of Action, Course of Action Decision Brief, and the final plan. Assists with the planning, preparation, and facilitation of working group sessions. Monitors and identifies threats to contract progress and assists FEMA in developing effective remedial action. Provides updates on project status, deliverables, and project management.
