In support of this mission, Marketing is responsible for developing integrated marketing strategies across Wells Fargo's business lines and geographies; leading brand strategy; leveraging deep insights and analytics about consumers and businesses; executing customer messaging across all channels and touchpoints; and building out capabilities that move toward real-time, always-on, personalized and compelling messaging and digital experiences. A member of the Enterprise Marketing Operations & Data Capabilities team, this leader will have primary responsibility for setting strategic direction, and building or enhancing Digital, Analytical & Data Capabilities. The Enterprise Marketing Operations & Data Capabilities team is part of the overall Marketing, Digital and Social Capabilities team, a center of excellence team within the Enterprise Marketing organization. The Enterprise Marketing Operations & Data Capabilities team will collectively create the strategy and vision for the enterprise marketing operations and data capabilities to support the Marketing organization's objectives and goals. From the vision, the leadership team will develop an integrated, prioritized strategic roadmap for Marketing that will deliver capabilities to drive efficiencies, effectiveness, and revenue growth. This role will be a leader on this team, and will partner with other leaders across Marketing, Technology, and other Line of Business Partners to design and implement Digital, Analytical & Data Capabilities as critical components of our marketing support capabilities roadmap. Capabilities are solutions that include process, technology and people to realize business outcomes. This leader will support large-scale Marketing programs by leveraging relevant experiences to provide strategic leadership support in partnership with a cross-functional stakeholder team, include the Marketing Strategic Capabilities Initiative (MSCI) Executive team, Program leadership, Marketing COEs, Lines of Business, Data Management and Insights and Wells Fargo Technology, the Enterprise Project Management office (EPMO), and, as applicable, supporting software and infrastructure vendors. The Digital Data initiative seeks to develop and execute strategies for delivering customer behavioral and interaction data for real-time digital modeling, allowing functionality to deliver the right message to the right customer/prospect at the right time. The initiative will build a framework to identify, engage and optimize the customer and prospect experience within a given interaction, across touchpoints and over the entire customer lifecycle to deliver a transformative digital experience. The Digital Data Lead will support the data and modeling demands of the initiative, anticipating the data needs and delivering data sets for each MVP and/or use case within the construct of the Marketing and Enterprise Data strategies and overarching architecture. This Program will require significant coordination across entities, Prioritization within and across Programs, and the ability to prioritize many competing component initiatives. The Lead will be responsible for managing the implementation of the solution, including; identification of business specific requirements, supporting prioritization of in/out of scope needs, identifying 3rd party and in-house system integration requirements, managing engagement routines across businesses and implementation teams, and driving work to appropriate implementation teams for execution (e.g. technology, training, risk, etc.). This individual owns accountability for all activity related to delivering the solution to the business. This is a highly complex, highly visible, role leading major investments supporting multiple lines of business and centers of excellence. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Program leads will work with the Program Manager, Sponsor, and with other Capability Leads to provide support to the following representative tasks: Identify opportunities to build new and enhance existing enterprise marketing operational capabilities, which include cross-product platforms that can be common for some or all products Act as the Primary SME that represents assigned toolset(s) as part of the overall marketing capability infrastructure Partner with key Business, Technology and Enterprise Data & Analytics leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to lead development of the capability vision, guiding principles, prioritized use cases/end user experiences, high-level requirements and roadmap Develop Program/Project Strategies for prioritization, sequencing, interdependencies, and scoping across projects, organizations and competing priorities Support program planning and funding processes, to include support and refinement of annual funding requests, cross project and cross-program prioritization, and supporting executive communications Support Program and Project Delivery, to include refinement of business cases, tactical implementation strategies (NOT a project plan), change management and training strategies, and ongoing measurement of value delivery Evaluate vendors and solutions in partnership with Technology Partner and Supply Chain; negotiate contract terms Capture and Articulate metric and measurement functions, such as identification of revenue gains, efficiency saves, and qualitative value delivered Executive-level Communication and Cross-marketing socialization of Program/Project scope, approach, solution, value drivers, and upcoming asks Facilitate critical strategic meetings to drive the direction and solutioning for Program/Projects Development and execution of financial processes supporting Program and Project activity within year and cross-year Conduct Ongoing analysis of overarching Program/Project governance models, infrastructure, routines, and delivery to identify gaps and opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness gains Participate in Cross-Program and Project sharing of best practices developed on or during initiative work Specific Accountabilities: The accountabilities of the Marketing Capabilities Lead align with accountabilities expected in an Agile Product Manager role, and may include: Leads cross-functional groups to establish the Marketing Digital Data Strategy, to include identifying how Marketing data can be leveraged to support both the specific digital needs of the organization (real-time personalization and advanced AI/ML functionalities), but also the analytical and reporting needs across the Marketing organization (modeling, cost, attribution, and campaign measurement). Have a hands on role in the day to day of the initiative with their business, technology and vendor peers Own the interface to executive business sponsorship and ultimately be the face to the enterprise from a governance perspective over the domain Identify internal one-time and ongoing resource needs and negotiate funding and acquisition through responsible teams Identify and drive the development of common business processes/workflows and align across marketing stakeholder groups Seeks to improve operational excellence through design of new or redesign of existing process management platform(s) and their ongoing enhancements and cross capability integrations. Manages communications and expectations with key vendors, seeking to improve processes, delivery times, quality of work and costs Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: marketing, digital marketing, digital platforms (i.e mobile or social media) 3+ years of experience coaching and developing a team Desired Qualifications A BS/BA degree or higher Ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven environment Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives Knowledge and understanding of project management and implementation in a matrix managed environment 2+ years of Agile experience Other Desired Qualifications Financial services operations experience with specific involvements in capabilities development and strategy design, and their implementation 5+ years in project management, technology related implementations, and/or strategic planning roles Have working knowledge of data architecture, data strategies, integration in large scale environments, governance, and digital data capabilities such as CDPs, Tag Management and Web Analytics Be a credible/articulate leader, fully comfortable representing the direct marketing process and being a voice for the group in cross business forums and vendor engagements Job Expectations Ability to travel up to 20% of the time Disclaimer All offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a criminal background check.
