The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Consumer Credit Card, Retail Services, Consumer Deposits, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Marketing and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. The Payments, Virtual Solutions and Innovation Fraud and Claims Management (PVSI FCM) team partners with product, channel, risk and technology teams to develop and provide secure, reliable, scalable and customer friendly prevention, investigation and claims services that protect customers and Wells Fargo from fraud losses. The team reviews account activity and high-risk transactions to prevent victim and perpetrator fraud, processes check fraud and Automated Clearing House (ACH) claims, investigates and resolves customer disputes (fraud and non-fraud) on all transaction types and manages all Wells Fargo identity theft cases. The Role Fraud and Claims Management (FCM) is seeking for a Financial Crimes Manager 3 to lead control and assurance functions and manage two teams within Business Assurance with as many as 5 direct reports with 120-130 total staff. The specific duties are, but not limited to: Lead FCM control and assurance functions related to Regulations E, CC, Z, hard hold, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and related association rules (e.g., EWS) Act as FCM subject matter expert for end-to-end Business Process Management (BPM) Support FCM self-assurance routines, process mapping, controls, analytics, and upstream/downstream interactions and dependencies Collaborate with FCM Detection Operations, Recovery & Claims, and others teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies Serve as a subject matter expert on projects and initiatives within FCM related to regulatory compliance and emerging risks Support FCM issue management, SHRPs, and audit responses, including support to completion of corrective actions and customer remediation Support FCM emerging fraud initiatives through consistent root cause and trends analysis (emerging risks include regulatory enforcement, fraud trends, emerging technology including Artificial Intelligence, Robotic Process Automation, CEDARS, and risks associated with new payment systems) Provide general business support to the Business Assurance function Support ongoing transformation of FCM Business Assurance; including automation of claims, detection, and functions, and consistency of control and assurance activities As a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically you will: Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks Required Qualifications 9+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: fraud, Bank Secrecy Act, anti money laundering, investigations of financial crimes transactions or policy violations, risk management, or compliance 3+ years of management experience Other Desired Qualifications Business Assurance: Experience leading control and assurance functions for larger-scale, cross LOB Prior experience with self-assurance routines, process mapping, controls, analytics, and upstream/downstream interactions and dependencies Experience using business knowledge and critical thinking skills to deliver upstream and downstream project impacts Experience capturing and documenting complex end-to-end business requirements which may include workflows, process maps, or business processes Ability to identify key issues, involve affected parties, design solutions, obtain buy-in, and communicate effectively through resolution Ability to manage process improvement initiatives to optimize operational effectiveness and efficiencies Fraud/Risk Management: Experience with Fraud, Financial Crimes and related regulations - Regulations E, CC, Z, hard hold, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and related association rules A deep understanding of ever-evolving governance processes and regulatory environments including experience in working with internal risk/compliance and external regulators. Ability to identify risk factors and ensure enactment of appropriate controls and associated self-assurance activities Prior implementation experience to ensure business process are compliant with applicable regulations and protocols are being followed Experience with issue management, SHRPs, and audit responses, including support to completion of corrective actions and customer remediation Management experience: Experience managing exempt level managers in a matrixed environment Strong leadership experience including: directing and delegating activities of team members, performance management, career development, coaching, mentoring, and succession planning Partnership: Ability to interact with all levels of an organization and develop collaborative partnerships Experience working effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations Proven proficiency in working and influencing within a matrixed environment to build effective cross business partnerships within all levels of executives and team members Experience conducting meetings, presentations and status reporting Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills Salary Information The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
