It all begins with you. Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company and maintains and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting; Treasury; corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions; Data Management and Insights, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, Enterprise Shared Services, Business Process Management, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, team members, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. They also maintain and enhance risk and financial controls and lead many of the company's shared services functions including corporate properties, security, and global services. Wells Fargo is seeking a highly motivated individual to join and manage a team of Financial Controls & Oversight Strategy & Operations professionals that will have enterprise-wide exposure to key stakeholders within the external financial/risk/regulatory reporting infrastructure. The Strategy & Operations team is within the Enterprise Controls & Oversight (ECO) Group in Corporate Controllers. The Strategy & Operations Manager will centralize ECO coordination and delivery of cross-enterprise initiatives, provide execution oversight and strategic planning on key ECO-wide initiatives, ECO risk activities, and vendor / partner identification and management. This individual will provide support and communicate regularly to leadership on key process improvement opportunities across core functions, actively manage the business and engage with internal & external partners on Wells Fargo's ECO program. ECO is an Enterprise Control Activity in Wells Fargo's Risk Management Framework, responsible for oversight of Financial Reporting risk of the company. This role will be responsible for the programmatic execution of the ECA as defined by the Risk Management Framework, including interaction points and communication strategy with other key role and teams across the company, including Control Executives, Independent Risk Management, Compliance, and Internal Audit. Primary responsibilities include: Drive implementation of programs /initiatives across ECO core functions, teams and business partners to support ECO vision and strategy. Help to manage these programs for the ECO leadership through prioritization of initiatives and coordination of necessary teams and resources across ECO. Responsible for operating key interactions on risk programs and initiatives with key stakeholders across the company. Covering, but not limited to: Manage and lead a team of Strategy & Operations professionals Coordination and project management of ECO's engagement in internal cross-enterprise initiatives and strategies (e.g. Business Process Management, Risk, G&O/COSO implementation) and responsibilities through implementation to BAU Coordination of WFC functions and initiatives and enterprise requirements for ECO such as business process automation, work flow tools and other strategic investments Manage relationship and engagement with other Wells Fargo teams, including but not limited to Independent Risk Management, Data Management & Insights, and Wells Fargo Audit Services Ensuring ECO-wide initiatives/programs adhere to appropriate policies and regulations and manage MRIA, MRA, Consent order, or issue deliverables and closure if applicable Supporting organization design and program set-up, collaboration, and prioritization between ECO teams Provide support to the ECO leader to develop and manage the ECO financial forecast Manage EC&O internal/external communications, leadership Town Halls, guidance, and trainings Additionally, prepare necessary reporting and metrics to support and monitor staffing model requirements/trends (e.g. resource time tracking and scheduling, third party initiatives, consultant engagement, global talent model, D&I, etc.) Responsible for providing strategic support & triage to ECO Leadership on key strategic projects through leading cross functional/virtual teams to strategize, plan and execute on core ECO initiatives including: Provides strategic level view on process-related activities across the ECO organization for the Enterprise Financial Reporting Controls & Oversight Leader Drive design and implementation of process improvements across ECO to increase efficiencies in operational processes and reduce risk through a standardized set of approaches to core organizational processes Supports implementation of strategic level initiatives and requirements for ECO Leadership As a Team Member Manager , you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Required Qualifications 2+ years of management experience 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics, reporting or business/technology audit Desired Qualifications 8+ years of project management experience Big four public accounting experience Financial services industry experience Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders Ability to consult with business partners to define key performance metrics, dashboards or scorecards Ability to prepare and present senior level communications Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications Knowledge and understanding of data visualization Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills Experience creating dashboards and reporting formats Strategic planning experience in translating leadership vision into executable strategies and initiatives 3+ years of process improvement experience Ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting Other Desired Qualifications Strong knowledge of and experience applying principles of BCBS 239 and the COSO Internal Control - Integrated Framework Experience leading cross functional teams to strategize and execute a variety of large scale programs, services and initiatives that are significant in scope, complexity and risk, working collaboratively across multiple stakeholder groups.
