The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Consumer Credit Card, Retail Services, Consumer Deposits, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Marketing and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. The PVSI Control team is specifically responsible for the management of non-financial risk within PVSI, including operational risk, compliance risk, model risk, reputation risk and strategic risk. The Leader will manage a team of risk professionals and work cross functionally with multiple support partners and direct activities/projects in a matrixed environment. This team focuses on all processes in Detection Analytics and Detection Operations pillars. The leader will provide business leadership with transparency into risks associated with the business processes, as well as a business framework to identify, escalate and respond to control opportunities and failures. The leader will be responsible to ensure team provides consistent operational risk consulting for these business processes and monitoring and remediating risk issues in a timely manner. This collaborative leader must be capable of initiating action and managing change in a fast paced environment. It requires a leader with strong relationship management, influencing, vision and execution skills. A key differentiator will be the ability to understand and operate successfully in a complex, heavily matrixed corporate environment. The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement while having ability to make timely and difficult decisions. Successful candidate will distill complex concepts into simplified/targeted solutions, communicate those concepts effectively and ensure that all deliverables are met. They will use both vision and analysis to identify business problems and build compelling fact-based strategic recommendations. They will also build and maintain strong credible relationships with key stakeholder groups including PVSI Financial Crimes Risk Control Executives, PVSI Risk-Aligned Control Teams, PVSI Business Management, Independent Risk Management, and Wells Fargo Compliance and Audit Services. This team will be responsible for managing all processes and controls related activities associated with these pillars, as stated below, but are not limited to: Own end-to-end processes assigned with different operational risk activities Monitor and execute risk-based operational risk programs (like business process modeling, annual risk assessments, self-assurance activities monitoring, regulatory compliance), to ensure compliance with policies Work with business units and provide operational risk expertise and consulting for effective program management document in SHRP (operational risk management tool) and other risk tools. Identify and mitigate operational and program risk in all business activities. Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, initiatives, products and internal controls and identify issues resulting from internal and/or external examinations (including compliance testing, audits, regulatory exams, consent orders, etc) Consult with the business, and risk peers, to develop corrective action plans and effectively manage change to ensure policy compliance. Monitor and assess policy changes and impacts. Evaluate risk management artifacts and program compliance in alignment with Risk Management MRA sustainability Specific responsibilities include: Leading, managing, coaching, and developing direct reports. Ultimately responsible for all work products produced by the team and ensuring high quality output as well as ensuring all required feedback, training are completed. Leads business partners along with ORCs through process mapping, risk identification, control creation and assessment. Provide control oversight of all processes in detection analytics and detection operations. Drive consistent issue management procedure application across the team Along with his ORCs, Participates in issue management risk identification meeting routines to assess and scope all newly identified issues. Responsible for documenting all new issues and ensuring worksheets are complete, accurate and created in the system of record. Works directly with business to develop comprehensive corrective action plans and design controls that are sustainable and monitors the development of corrective actions through entire life cycle, approving changes and documenting status updates in system of record. Works with business to create and document assurance monitoring activities. Collaborates with PVSI control support teams, fraud aligned control teams, Compliance, IRM, and Audit to identify risk framework program requirements applicable activities to the business and lead business partners as well as risk and compliance partners through completion of required deliverables. Partner with control teams to ensure consistent risk program execution and influence / participate in their design. Conduct daily oversight of all business unit activities, to include side by side reviews, activity monitoring, report and trend analysis, and participation in meetings to understand and mitigate risk on projects and initiatives. Monitors procedures, policy and regulatory requirements for changes impacting business unit control operational requirements and FCM business operations. Advises and implements changes required to remain complaint. Conducts analysis, evaluation, review and approval of all risk and control related documents and activities and projects conducted by the business. Consults business leaders as the primary risk and control advisor in FCM; participates in leadership meeting routines to proactively identify risk trends and recommend strategies for mitigating risk within the business.
