The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Consumer Credit Card, Retail Services, Consumer Deposits, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. This role will be responsible for supporting the PVSI front line Operational Risk program that is forward looking, consistent, customer focused while at the same time required to meet corporate program and regulatory requirements. The candidate will own, manage and execute front line Operational Risk Program activities, engaging, supporting, collaborating and/or coordinating with partners across the enterprise to ensure related requirements are understood and appropriately implemented within PVSI, mitigating the related risks. The candidate will collaborate with key Enterprise partners across Wells Fargo and will have exposure to senior risk and business leadership. This roles includes creating line of sight, oversight and influence over implementation of the Data Management Risks. This role will aim to proactively manage this risk type, ensuring appropriate implementation of controls that will prevent issues from occurring, limiting financial, litigation and reputation risk to the bank. Specifically this individual will have and provide technical expertise, lead through influence and drive execution of the following across PVSI lines of business: • Ensure PVSI line of business consistently interprets and executes related Data Management Risk Policies, Standards and Procedures, provide expert risk guidance to PVSI lines of business and provide insightful feedback to the Enterprise regarding potential changes or enhancements to the enterprise program. • Perform risk Identification and analysis. Work with key partners and tools to identify trends, provide risk-based recommendations and associated action plans in order to effectively mitigate the root causes of Data Management Risk issues. Leverage organizational knowledge, WF risk culture, systems, processes and applicable policies to identify potential problems and opportunities and implement effective, consistent and sustainable solutions. • Facilitate sharing of best practices and communication. Develop relationships across multiple organizations, identify and share best practices with business partners across the Wells Fargo Enterprise and PVSI business units. Lead meetings with key partners across the Enterprise to discuss program strategies, issues, mitigating controls, and cost effective solutions using a risk-based approach. • Perform or review monitoring and reporting (including KRIs and issues), timely escalations and notifications • Develops and delivers an accurate risk profile for the aligned data management team and assist with data management risk profiles for the data team's business partners. • Identifies operational risk issues by conducting and supporting risk assessments that evaluate the environment and estimate the level and trends of inherent risk, determine the effectiveness of associated controls, and the level and trends of residual risk • Proactively identify risks within Wells Fargo Data and /or Technology across internal and external events • Document risk(s) within established and new line-of-business products / services and Data/ IT processes / products / services • Evaluate risks and prioritize risks and remediation work • Assist in drafting issue definitions, corrective action plans, and in managing change • Facilitating meetings establishing accountability, escalating issues and providing status updates as required by leadership. • Design and implement effective and proactive action plans that appropriately mitigate risks in a sustainable manner and define Key Risk Indicators to track impact • Review controls in an effective manner to mitigate risks and deliver data management value • Integrate continuous improvement with metrics and monitoring • Advises management on risk ratings and evaluates ratings against established policy standards • Monitor controls to identify gaps and prevent, correct, and detect operational risk issues • Identify, measure, monitor, support, and complete data and/or Technology risk management training, communication, and outreach programs Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 10+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both Desired Qualifications Advanced Microsoft Office skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Ability to interact with all levels of an organization Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology audit and risk management Audit or internal controls testing experience Other Desired Qualifications • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of financial, operational, technical, and regulatory requirements in the delivery of data management and /or Information Technology in the financial services community • Beyond experience, the right personal style and attitude are critical to success in this role. • 7+ years Operational Risk and/or related risk experience; subject matter expert in Data or Information Management Risks. • Successful track record providing advice and counsel to management on significant initiatives to improve risk management and internal controls • Ability to influence without direct authority, create and manage (while achieving results) large-scale change and influence people at all levels of the organization • Ability to communicate powerfully and prolifically to senior leaders and simplify the complex • Demonstrated ability to execute effectively in a matrixed organization, develop partnerships with many business and functional areas • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong credible relationships with key stakeholder groups including executive management, regulatory examiners and internal auditors • BA/BS and or Master's Degree in a Business or related field • Certification in a related field. Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment.
