Half-Time Faculty Position (non-tenure track) - Department of Comprehensive Care
Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Dental Medicine is searching for a Half-time, Non tenure-track, faculty position in the Department of Comprehensive Care. The department is responsible for the predoctoral education of fixed-, removable-, and implant prosthodontics, occlusion, biomaterials, operative dentistry, the DMD Comprehensive Care Clinical Activities, and AEGD. The applicant’s teaching responsibilities will include didactic, preclinical, and clinical instruction in the DMD program. Fluency in digital dentistry (i.e. intra-oral scanning, restoration design, 3D printing) is preferred. Participation in scholarly and service activities are required. Qualifications include a DDS/DMD or equivalent degree and eligibility for licensure in Ohio. Preference will be given to candidates with advanced degrees. Previous teaching experience in an academic setting is preferred. Evaluation of applicants will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Dental Medicine Department is inviting applications for an Experienced Clinician interested in a compensated half-time position focusing on the clinical training of third and fourth-year dental students. The appointment is at an Instructor/Assistant Professor level in the Department of Comprehensive Care. The applicant’s teaching responsibilities will include managing a clinical practice group of 3rd & 4th year DMD Students providing clinical teaching as well as didactic teaching to include facilitating Evidence-based literature seminars. Qualifications include a DDS/DMD and eligibility for licensure in Ohio. A minimum of (10) years clinical practice is required, or evidence of advanced education and/or training (AEGD or GPR). Teaching experience is preferred. Student Support and Judicial Affairs Assistant Counselor
Student Support and Judicial Affairs Assistant Counselor Stark State College is looking for two part-time candidates to join our Stark State Akron team. The primary purpose of this position is to provide short-term personal, social, emotional, and developmental consultation services for students. The Student Support and Judicial Affairs Assistant Counselor will be the primary contact on Stark State Akron’s campus for issues relation to the mental health of students. The Assistant Counselor will provide training to the campus community for recognizing and handling students in need of assistance; develop and monitor intervention plans, and provide emergency counseling services. The assistant will work in coordination with the Student Support and Judicial Affairs officer, as a member of the Akron Behavioral Intervention Team, for college-wide activities related to due process/judicial affairs proceedings. Master’s Degree in the field of Counseling is required. Minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience (required), preferably with college students. Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and MFT Board required. Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) through the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and MFT Board preferred.
