WSP is currently initiating a search for a Mechanical Engineer for our Baltimore, Maryland office. This is an excellent technical position for a proficient engineer to influence production of engineering design for a national client base in an internationally recognized global firm in a field designated for expansion. Duties and Responsibilities: Position involves performing mechanical engineering and design for transit, industrial, commercial and institutional projects and may include the following functions: Prepare design criteria documents, calculations, drawings and specifications for mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and various other special systems. Develop costs estimates for mechanical systems. Support mechanical engineer-of-record for design documents and reports covering mechanical systems. Provide support during construction activities. Project assignments may include, although not limited to, vehicular or rail tunnels, transportation centers, transit maintenance facilities, parking structures, or pump stations. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural or Civil Engineering 3+ years of experience in design of mechanical systems Familiarity with AutoCAD or Microstation and proficiency in Microsoft Office products Preferred Qualifications: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification Experience with Revit Familiarity with NFPA Standards and applicable building codes About WSP USA WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
