SUMMARY  Intermediate level sheet metal fabrication position. Sheet Metal Mechanic 2 performs high precision fabrication duties to include: cutting, forming, surface finishing and assembly of raw sheet metals. Will use calibrated measurement devices during fabrication tasks which are to include but not limited to the following: CNC Punches, CNC Press Brakes, shears, notchers, drills, tapping equipment, sheet rolling equipment, and various types of hardware insertion equipment. JOB SUMMARY   The purpose of this position is to manage and lead a staff responsible for individual, multi-disciplined real estate project solutions for clients, with direct accountability for project delivery. Building Engineer - 2nd Shift
RESPONSIBILITIES   Tue - Sat evening shift. Utilizes advanced skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment and grounds. Working under limited supervision, monitors building system operations and performance. Utilizes several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety. Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client. Oversees and inspects the work performed by outside contractors. Contracted work includes landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbers, and cleaning. Performs assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records as required. Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks. Maintains an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum. The Big Picture: Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to review, provide analysis, management, and resolution of field coordination issues with project team members and participants. Excellent communication skills are necessary as you will interact with staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment. Your ability to remain flexible, inventive, dedicated and efficient with a high level of integrity and confidentiality is vital to your success. Responsibilities What will you be doing? Organization, flexibility, excellent customer focus and strong communication are critical in performing duties which include, but are not limited to: Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft persons Implement the pre-construction quality plan Obtain and maintain all necessary construction permits Work with Project Manager for fee payments or recurring permit expenses Develop and maintain: Material Tracking List, Project Test and Inspection Listing, Concrete Placement Log, Non-Conformance Report Create, oversee, and distribute contract documents Establish handling procedures for electronic documents, including Request for Information (RFI) and correspondence Incorporate all processes and procedures that support the project closeout phase Lead all aspects of testing and inspection processes for the construction quality management program Implement three-phase inspection system Establish reporting formats, protocols, schedules, and any off-site testing procedures Notify the Project Manager and Superintendent promptly of test results or inspection items that do not conform to contract requirements Handle submittals Set up register in accordance with project specifications Obtain the customer/architects approval Prepare project-specific transmittal forms in PCMS Coordinate the packaging, review, and processing of submittals Expedite submittals to ensure material deliveries are in sync with the project schedule Communicate details and requirements for the submittal process to subcontractors and suppliers, Issue submittal requirement letters that outline packaging and processing requirements Provide periodic updates of the submittal register to the customer or architect Coordinate details of various subcontractors, including verifying insurance, preparing paperwork, and requesting final payment from Finance Develop and distribute RFIs and Change Orders Define and implement procedures for posting revisions and updates to as-build construction documents Incorporate subcontractor as-built documentation in the procedures for revising or updating contract documents Responsible for the mentoring, management, and timely performance evaluation of field engineers   Other duties as assigned, including:   Determine alternative work methods as needed Coordinate safety and compliance for all team member Maintain schedule of timelines and follow through until completion Qualifications Required Skills: Minimum of three years related construction experience Detail orientation sufficient to organize and effectively run multiple tasks Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, and analytical skills Positive and professional attitude and customer service skills Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies Current drivers license Education: Bachelors degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management    Mortenson is an EOE/Affirmative Action/M/F/Veteran/Disabled employer.

Maintenance Technician
RESPONSIBILITIES   Performs general preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment and grounds. Working under close supervision, assists in monitoring building system operations and performance. Utilizes several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety. Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records as required. Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks. Assists with installation and modification of building equipment systems. Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC. Inspects new installation for compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps. Maintains grounds of facility or property performing such tasks as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing or snow removal. Performs welding, carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed. Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
