Planner I/II 118-093     The City of Overland Park has a full-time Planner I/II position available in the Current Planning Division of the Planning & Development Services Department. Responsibilities: Key focus will be review and analysis of development proposals from including preparation and presentation of staff recommendation.   Participates on the Plan Review Committee.  Provides staff support for various review bodies.  Responds to Zoning and Development inquiries from staff and the public.   May assist with review of traffic studies and updates of long range planning documents.  May analyze census data.  Serves as Planner of the Day.  Requirements:  Planner I:  Bachelor’s Degree in planning, landscape architecture, architecture, urban design, civil engineering, traffic engineering, or a related field.  Six months-one year experience in municipal planning. Planner II:  Same education as above.  Three years of experience in current planning or as a generalist planner, or an equivalent level of experience.  No City residency requirement.  8-5, M-F $4,422-$6,822/mo .
