Summary:  American Conservation Experience, a nonprofit Conservation Corps, in partnership with  the National Park Service , is  seeking four (4) Members  to work directly with the historic preservation staff and assist with carpentry, roofing, and woodworking projects on historic properties throughout the park including the Pierce Ranch and the Lifeboat Station. This opportunity intended for enthusiastic individuals with a background in construction who possess an interest in gaining experience in the field of historic preservation and resource management. *Military veterans strongly encouraged to apply*   Start Date: 1/6/2020 End Date: 5/23/2020 * A minimum  20 -week commitment is required *   Location:   Point Reyes National Seashore, Marin County, California Point Reyes National Seashore is located along the west coast of California approximately 30 miles north of San Francisco. Point Reyes Station, Inverness, and Inverness Park are the nearest towns to park headquarters, and cities including Petaluma, Novato, and San Rafael are within commuting range. The incumbent will work with the Seashore's Historic Preservation Team under the supervision of the Exhibit Specialist. The work consists of shop, and fieldwork on structures listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The position is geared toward hands-on treatment of historic structures and preservation practices as they apply to the carpentry and millwork trades, and will involve working with park preservation team on this year's projects.   Project Background and Objectives:   This year's major projects will include window restoration work at the historic Lifeboat Station. The other project will include replacement of wood shingle roofs and fencing at Historic Pierce Ranch. The surrounding landscape is largely chaparral with areas of oak savannah and grasslands. The position is located at the eastside park headquarters in Paicines, CA. Nearest communities for shopping, doctors, hospitals, and other amenities are Hollister (40 miles, population 34,400), King City (40 miles, population 11,000), Gilroy (65 miles, population 41,400), Salinas (70 miles, population 151,000), and Monterey (90 miles, population 30,000). TSI Intern - Applications Engineer (#2019-2459)

PEI Intern - Dynamometer Tech (#2019-2418)
AVL Powertrain Engineering, Inc. is looking for an intern who has experience and high interest in automotive - specifically engine mechanical.  Qualified candidates should possess proficient communication skills and computer skills.   This position will start immediately and is for 2nd or 3rd Shift in the Ann Arbor area . Some overtime and weekend work is anticipated. The PEI Intern for the Operations Dyno area will set up, operate, and tear down experimental engines and other drivetrain components in an engine dynamometer test cell or test environment.  Support other activities related to lab operations including calibration, maintenance, and housekeeping.   AVL Powertrain Engineering, Inc.
