WSP is currently initiating a search for an Aviation Project Engineer for our New York City, NY office. Duties and Responsibilities: Strong oral and written communication skills in English, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present information to clients, other staff and management Strong analytical and problem solving skills Understanding of scope, schedule and budget Participates in client development and relations activities including meetings, conferences and other industry events Travel within the Northeast region will be required Development of project scopes, budgets and schedules Leading technical aspects of contract negotiation, presentations and meetings Maintenance of clear lines of communication and contractual relationship between Project Manager and design team Assistance in the management of design team members Development and maintenance of all project related processes and procedures Scheduling and supervision of internal and external coordination meetings with contractors, engineers, and others as may be necessary Make recommendations on project staffing, evaluates subordinate staff Talent is the essence of meeting our client’s objectives, goals and challenges. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program Registered Professional Engineer in the States of New York At least eight years of experience in aviation Able to develop and prepare contract documentation at all stages of the project Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation Demonstrated knowledge and experience with PANYNJ Standards and procedures Must have ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of industry, government, and public contracts on project-related matters Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients Valid driver's license, must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the Company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy About WSP USA WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
