The Instructional Design Consultant (IDC) will consult with business partners and Learning & Development professionals, utilizing knowledge of instructional design (ID) methodology. The IDC will redesign existing materials and/or create new ones, ensuring materials meet standards established within the ID team and in alignment with Wells Fargo style and brand standards. Self-management of projects and meeting expected deadlines is critical. Key Job Responsibilities: Design and development of creative, engaging, and effective training solutions for our multi-generational audience of Wells Fargo team members. (Solutions may include a variety of modalities, including interactive simulations, virtual learning environments, web-conferencing, self-study, classroom, performance support tools, videos, microlearning techniques and reusable learning objects). Collaborate with various partners to plan and/or implement training solutions, based on identified needs and training gaps for a given Wells Fargo audience. Apply sound instructional design methodology to meet business and learning objectives. Exercise independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices. Manage risk in all aspects of design, development, and implementation of training solutions. May function as a project team lead, monitoring the work of others to ensure alignment with team and company standards. Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience maintaining or creating training materials that require adherence to published standards such as Associate Press Style, corporate style guide, and branding standards 2+ years of experience writing storyboards and developing content using instructional design tools such as a learning content management system (LCMS), Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, or other comparable tools 2+ years of instructional design experience Desired Qualifications A BS/BA degree or higher in Instructional Design or related discipline Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Knowledge and understanding of ADDIE model for instructional design Knowledge and understanding of adult learning or education: facilitation and instructional design Knowledge and understanding of instructional design and development for multiple methods of delivery (instructor led paper-based, virtual, and e-learning) Experience identifying tasks required of a learner and prioritizing those tasks for training design and development Project management experience with instructional design projects Strong attention to detail, including accuracy in grammar and a sharp focus on eliminating errors Job Expectations Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Disclaimer All offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a criminal background check.
