As a Sr. Director of Client Support Services (Trade Relations), you will be responsible for developing strategies to assist our custom formulary plan clients in managing their drug spend through the efficient use of rebate and formulary programs. You will lead a team of four directors and a department with close to 20 colleagues. The individuals on this team thoroughly understand rebate guarantees, pharmaceutical manufacturer rebate agreements, analyze rebate and drug utilization reports to understand trends, and provide clients with advice on formulary strategies. This Senior Director will work closely with the Trade executive leadership team as well as executive leaders across Underwriting, Sales, and Finance and interact with some of our most prestigious custom clients (predominantly health plans) throughout the year during our sales and renewal process. This team services our custom formulary clients which is a key market differentiator that enables us to win business while ensuring we meet our client rebate contract guarantees. Your success will be determined by your ability to meet or exceed goals within your aligned business unit regarding overall operational support and service delivery. You will establish and maintain effective working relationships with various internal operational partners to meet client deliverables and ensure outcomes. You will need to exhibit strong leadership competencies while exercising good judgment and diplomacy. The successful candidate will have outstanding presentation and public speaking skills, as well as being a leader with internal stakeholders to navigate and help execute key Trade strategies. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of Trade professionals helping recommend strategies that directly impact the bottom line of a Fortune 7 organization. Preferred location for ideal candidate is Minneapolis, MN, but may be open to Northbrook, IL, as well. Must be able to travel up to 25%. Required Qualifications * 10 years of working in health plans or pharmacy with experience in rebates, drug spend, and formulary strategies * 5 years of leadership experience with increasing responsibility and developing a team with a broad range of backgrounds/ skillsets Preferred Qualifications * MBA, Licensed Pharmacist, or business consultant with a consulting firm preferred * Strategic vision and critical thinking capacity, creativity, and ability to work in multiple locations across several key business units. * Extensive industry knowledge with a strong sense of urgency and drive for results * Assertive follow-up skills * Organizational skills and attention to detail * Analytical mindset, ability to draw insights from the data, a strong sense of where the value is Education Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline Business Overview It's a new day in health care.
