HVAC-Refrigeration Service Technician The Works Service Company has been servicing restaurants in the Dallas-Ft.Worth area for the past 30 years, 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  We stock a large selection of parts to get the equipment up and running as soon as possible.  We service all brands of cooking equipment, refrigeration equipment, heating and A/C equipment, electrical and neon repairs. Along with servicing equipment, we also offer preventative maintenance contacts. The service technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment in restaurants, schools, health care facilities and institutions throughout the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area. The service technicians should be skilled in the repairs of electrical, HVAC-R, cooking equipment etc. All technicians must ensure that the repairs to equipment are correct, complete and justified. Maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment; prepares and submits orders for supplies for supervisor approval. Performs other facilities related duties as required by the supervisor.. Able to follow up on your own jobs, parts, equipment to completion   Prerequisites:  Applying technicians must have three years’ experience in HVAC-R or restaurant repair; trade school certificate preferred. All technicians must have a valid Texas Driver’s license as travel between agency facilities is required. Schedule:  40 hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; overtime as required. Technicians must be flexible in the event of an emergency and willing to work on a rotating schedule if required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Familiarity with proper operation of electrical equipment and hand tools sufficient to carry out job tasks listed. Initiative and judgment to identify and correct discrepancies and problems as they occur. Sufficient academic and communication skills to undertake training and certification Additional Skills and Characteristics: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities as needed. Possess a service orientation and cooperative attitude in dealings with supervisor, and co-workers.
