Job Description Job Title: INSTALLER Department: Operations Department Reports To: Installation Manager/ Group Operations Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Summary: To provide quality of service calls in an efficient manner, while keeping the customer’s needs always in focus. An Installer is responsible for an area to service that is assigned to them by their manager. On occasion, an installer may be needed in another area. An installer is responsible for servicing equipment, wiring and terminations to the level of operation that is deemed normal by the equipment design and design specifications. These representatives service electronic equipment after it has been in operation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Excellent Customer Service Product Knowledge Inventory Control Customer Training Understanding of access, alarm, and CCTV installation Demonstrate the capability of the installation of access control, alarm, and CCTV systems Cable installation and device mounting; some programming of equipment SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS Experience with High Tech CCTV systems and/or card accesses systems. Experience with structured wiring installation/termination. Experience with NVR installation and programming for: March networks; OpenEye; Avigilon Experience with Alarm Systems: Honeywell, DMP Experience with Access Control: Lenel, Keyscan, S2 ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Good Driving record is mandatory. Ability to travel within the States, as well out-of- States when necessary. Be reliable, self-starter, professional individual with a very high customer service orientation, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Respond to all service-related calls on a daily basis and repairs any part of the security system that is non-operational. Respond to any urgent request of his/her direct superior in order to facilitate excellent customer service. Must know basic electricity. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, draw, and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Carry out verbal communication with customers in a responsible manner. Employee will be required to climb ladders. The Employee will also mount cameras for outside surveillance, which would require the use of a hammer drill and other hand power tools.
