Job Summary The purpose of this position is responsibility for project management services within an assigned geographic region for a specific client account, and to manage and lead a staff responsible for individual, multidisciplined real estate project solutions for clients. Key project delivery focus areas include scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for performance of assigned geographic region and team, management of staff, including expense monitoring and control, and oversight of geographic portfolio of projects. Interacts regularly with clients to ensure that goals and objectives are established and achieved. Develops and implements action plans to correct variances. Anticipates and responds to the clients needs and concerns. Manages and leads project management staff in the market and ensures thorough staff understanding and implementation of operations, policies, and procedures. Directs all phases of project management including procurement/contracting, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closeout phases of the project. Key focus areas include scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk management. Develops new business growth and maintains existing business relationships within the account. Responsible for business pursuits, and integration with other account business lines. Exhibits a complete understanding of companys corporate governance policies and procedures. Responsible for ensuring corporate governance policies and procedures are adhered to within work group. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Provides formal supervision to individual employees within assigned geographic region. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labour. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviours that are consistent with the companys values. Requirements Education and Experience Bachelors degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) preferred, minimum 8 years related experience in Project Management, Construction, or Design/Engineering required. Prior supervisory experience is preferred. PMP certification preferred. Skills and Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to write reports, and to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, and/or management Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Requires advanced problem solving, analytical, and quantitative skills. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge in MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, management, and client groups to take desired action. Scope of Responsibility : Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve complex results. Responsible for setting project, and regional deadlines. Errors in judgement may cause longterm impact to line of business and/or overall company.
