The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company. Within Wells Fargo Compliance, the Enterprise Testing group is responsible for establishing and maintaining a consolidated Enterprise Testing program at the corporate level. Enterprise Testing is responsible for developing a common methodology and standards, providing governance and oversight, executing testing; and conducting horizontal reviews. Testing and validation teams are responsible for implementing the Enterprise Testing methodology and standards, and executing group- specific testing. Wholesale Testing and Validation (T&V), within Enterprise Testing, is seeking an Enterprise Risk Officer. This position will be responsible for leading quality assurance reviews across the Wholesale group level testing & validation portfolio (domestic and international). This role will also provide strategic direction for the ongoing enhancement of the Wholesale T&V quality assurance program and developing metrics and reporting. Specific Job Responsibilities: Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of corporate and Wholesale policies, procedures, and standards, including Independent Monitoring, Testing, and Validation Policy, Enterprise Testing - Control Testing and Issue Validation Procedures and Enterprise Testing Coordination and Oversight Procedures Lead execution of quality assurance reviews across the Wholesale group level testing and validation portfolio Provide oversight and consultation to all testing team types across Wholesale Review and interpret new and revised corporate and Wholesale policies and procedures and assess impacts to Wholesale businesses and the review activities program Identify QC training opportunities; designs/coordinates the development of QC training materials and coordinates or delivers QC training Bring effective challenge, judgment, awareness, and transparency to the Wholesale compliance priorities Provide valuable solutions and recommendations that focus on efficiency and process improvements Provide process, risk and control expertise and potential solutions to identified gaps and associated risks to the line of business and Wholesale Banking Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite, and all risk and compliance program requirements.
