As part of the First Line of Defense, this team serves as the primary coordinator for regulatory examination requests for the Wells Fargo Technology team. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Oversee, educate and provide guidance to Technology subject matter experts in fulfillment of regulatory examination requests from domestic and international regulators to include: • Lead technology examinations and technology components of other line of business examinations • Preparation and facilitation of meetings with the technology leaders and the regulator • Build strong relationships within Technology and Wells Fargo to fill the role as a trusted advisor • Provide challenge internally to varying levels of the organization, and act as an agent of change • Deliver timely, complete and accurate responses that reflect Wells Fargo's current practices and also satisfy the regulatory requests • Produce management reporting on examination status • Partner with second and third line of defense to inform, educate, and collaborate on response development and • Contribute to group work streams and/or department-wide initiatives as needed Job Expectations: • Expected to work in approved Wells Fargo office and maintain attendance standards for space allocation • Minimal travel will be required for annual team meeting and to provide on-site support for regulatory examinations if needed. Approximately 4 weeks per year. • Flexibility in hours of work may be required on occasion to support international regulatory engagements. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 10+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both Desired Qualifications Ability to interact with all levels of an organization Advanced Microsoft Office skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Other Desired Qualifications • 2+ years Regulator examination or audit management experience • 3+ years' experience within a Technology business group with demonstrated knowledge of technology systems, applications, infrastructure and emerging technology and associated risks in a business environment • Advanced Enterprise Risk Management experience and perspective • Experience successfully navigating and influencing global financial institutions on risk management topics • Strong risk and control fundamentals, knowledge of frameworks and methodologies • Experience in evaluating the adequacy of regulatory responses • Experience in assessing risk, writing issues, and developing appropriate corrective actions • Demonstrated negotiation skills, especially with difficult topics when partnering with senior management.
