The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company. Within Wells Fargo Compliance, the Enterprise Testing team is responsible for the development and design of methodologies and standards for review activities across the Enterprise in alignment with the Risk Management Framework, and ensuring effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs, risks, and controls according to standards and other applicable policies. Job Description: Enterprise Testing is responsible for executing independent compliance monitoring and testing plans across a broad spectrum of risks (e.g., consumer protection, bank and securities rules and regulations, internal policies and forensic reviews requested by senior management) across the company. The Enterprise Testing Quality Assurance Officer role is responsible for developing, planning and performing risk-based reviews relevant to Wells Fargo's businesses to evaluate the adequacy, comprehensiveness and effectiveness of the monitoring and testing functions within the compliance testing programs. He or she will be responsible for planning objectives and scope for multiple reviews reflecting a risk-based approach, as well as identifying issues, formulating observations/findings, writing and editing reports, and tracking timely remediation of findings. Additionally, this role is responsible for evaluating adherence to applicable internal policy requirements. He or she will also be proficient in performing compliance program reviews and/or independent compliance monitoring and testing activities, compliance risk assessments, and will have a comprehensive understanding of effective compliance monitoring and testing programs, internal controls and other risk mitigation strategies. This role will report directly to the Enterprise Testing Quality Assurance Manager. Specific duties for this position include, but are not limited to: •Develop, plan and perform compliance reviews that independently evaluate the adequacy, comprehensiveness and effectiveness of compliance monitoring and testing functions •Periodically, or on an as-needed basis, evaluate adherence to applicable internal policy requirements •Identify deficiencies and recommend solutions to complex issues •Work with compliance risk management teams to agree on corrective actions to strengthen monitoring and testing programs •Ensure identified deficiencies are promptly addressed and effectively resolved •Write reports or presentations that clearly articulate the results/conclusions of compliance review activities and communicate to key stakeholders across the company •Lead or assist in investigating and reporting issues, as needed, conducting inquires, obtaining and reviewing necessary documents and interviewing team members, as appropriate •Assist on compliance projects •Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders •Maintain an understanding of the Wells Fargo Risk Framework, Wells Fargo Compliance Policies and Procedures, and Enterprise Testing Standards and Procedures and the interconnectivity of its key components •Maintain an understanding of business operations and regulatory guidance/expectations •Anticipate changes in the internal and external environment and adapt the monitoring and testing program accordingly •Provide Wells Fargo Compliance guidance during risk assessment processes and state of compliance reporting •Present results to Enterprise Testing leadership and other senior executives •As appropriate, assist with the development of training materials •Work collaboratively across groups/LOBs and with other risk management teams •Work with senior management, ET Leadership, Law Department and other key constituencies to encourage, promote and enhance a culture that encourages ethical conduct and a commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations •Ensure proper and effective communication (e.g. emails, verbal, quality assurance reports) is in place •Develop effective working relationships with team members while distinguishing self as a collaborative partner/leader Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 7+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in risk management Desired Qualifications A BS/BA degree or higher Ability to interact with all levels of an organization Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment Ability to quickly establish credibility to build and maintain effective working relationships Advanced Microsoft Office skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Experience articulating issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management Other Desired Qualifications Critical Thinking and Analytical skills ability to work and influence change successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment Experience in Audit, Compliance, Risk and Testing •Experience with Wells Fargo internal risk systems such as SHRP, ORIS and CARA CRCM, CAMS certification or FINRA licenses (i.e., SIE, Series 7, etc.) Experience performing independent compliance monitoring and testing activities in an Audit, Legal and/or Compliance Risk Management function within the Consumer or Institutional Brokerage areas Disclaimer All offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a criminal background check.
