DMI defines how we use information across the company, align our business practices and support our continued focus on great customer experience Data Management Risk Governance (DMRG) - Enterprise Data Governance (EDG): The Data Management Risk Governance (DMRG) Team is part of the Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) Group. DMRG is responsible for integration of data management risk governance and credible challenge routines horizontally across the enterprise, including: Effective governance structure and engagement model with stakeholders, including the Enterprise Risk Programs (ERPs) and Operational Risk Management Capabilities (ORMCs) in Corporate Risk Effective processes to identify, assess, and measure risk Monitoring Key indicators to better inform management of current state of risk and exposure Data Management Risk Governance (DMRG) Operational Risk Consultant: This position reports to a Data Management Risk Governance manager which has key functions in support of Independent Data Governance and Oversight of Enterprise Risk Programs including: Leadership role in maintaining strong organizational oversight of Integrated Process Risk and Control Enterprise Risk Program credible challenge assessment Responsible for DMRG effectiveness in identification, assessment, and mitigation of data management risk across enterprise business groups as Data Management Risk Type Demonstrates a high level of efficiency in effective communication and collaboration with enterprise wide business groups and cross functional business partners Enterprise Data Management Risk Management is responsible for approving alternative risk management practices and maintaining records of those practices, governing risk acceptances and review activities, performing necessary governance functions to ensure effective management of the risks and compliance with company-wide requirements and providing risk management best practices, risk aggregation, analysis and communication to highlight area of acute or emerging risk. Position Responsibilities : Develop and document governance and credible challenge routines and standard operating procedures Lead governance routines for Enterprise Risk Programs (ERPs) Provide comprehensive view into data management integration into Enterprise Risk Programs (ERPs) and Operational Risk Management Capabilities (ORMCs) Provide Enterprise Risk Title governance and support across Business Groups and Risk Types Engage in Enterprise Control Taxonomy governance routine representing DMR interests across Business Groups and Risk Types including New Business Initiatives Perform credible challenge routines with policy, issues management, event escalations, operational losses, testing & validation, Integrated Process Risk Control (IPRC) Assessment, Business Process Mapping (BPM), and Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) in collaboration with DMRG Team Collaborate with DMRG and related EDG teams to identify and manage synergies, dependencies, and common challenges Required Qualifications 6+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 6+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 3+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both 4+ years of risk management experience 1+ year of leadership experience including coaching, training, and mentoring Desired Qualifications Advanced Microsoft Office skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Ability to interact with all levels of an organization Knowledge and understanding of Shared Risk Platform (SHRP) such as reporting and issue management Change leadership experience Other Desired Qualifications Experience with Integrated Risk & Controls (IPRC) & Enterprise Risk ID programs, & SHRP Issues Management Experience in Data Management Risk Job Expectations Ability to travel up to 10% of the time Disclaimer All offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a criminal background check.
