The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company. Within Wells Fargo Compliance, the Enterprise Testing group is responsible for establishing and maintaining a consolidated Enterprise Testing program at the corporate level. Enterprise Testing is responsible for developing a common methodology and standards, providing governance and oversight, executing testing; and conducting horizontal reviews. Testing and validation teams are responsible for implementing the Enterprise Testing methodology and standards, and executing group- specific testing. Wealth and Investment Management Testing and Validation Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) provides a full range of personalized wealth management, investment and retirement products and services to clients across U.S.-based businesses including Wells Fargo Advisors, Private Wealth Management, Retirement, Wells Fargo Investment Institute and Wells Fargo Asset Management. We deliver financial planning, private banking, credit, investment management, and fiduciary services to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. We also serve customers' brokerage needs, supply retirement and trust services to institutional clients, and provide investment management capabilities delivered to global institutional clients through separate accounts and the Wells Fargo Advantage Funds. The WIM Testing & Validation (T&V) function performs regulatory compliance and operational risk testing and issue validation across all the WIM businesses. The Role The Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) Compliance Manager 4 (Manager) will be responsible for managing a team of compliance manager(s) and consultants in executing a risk-based compliance control testing program to assess compliance with significant regulatory requirements and applicable corporate policies as well has assessing the design and operational effectiveness of business processes. The Manager must ensure this testing program adheres to the Independent Monitoring, Testing, and Validation Policy as well as other associated polices such as the Issue Management Policy. This Manager will design and develop compliance testing strategies and methodologies for the team and will consult with senior risk, compliance, law and business management on compliance risk policies, procedures and controls for the respective businesses and/or functional areas in WIM. The Manager is responsible for identifying opportunities and driving strategies for WIM-wide engagements and initiatives. In addition, the Manager will lead horizontal control testing engagements and ad-hoc projects with a cross-WIM impact as necessary. Further, the Manager is responsible for reviewing and developing the WIM annual testing plan. In addition, the Manager will develop and present key LOB stakeholder reporting to ensure business aligned stakeholders have relevant, meaningful, and timely reporting related to ongoing testing engagements within their business area. The Manager is also responsible for staffing, executing timely deliverables, written and oral reporting and work quality for the team and will ensure all issues identified by the team are addressed, escalated and validated appropriately. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 10+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both 5+ years of management experience Desired Qualifications Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner Advanced Microsoft Office skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Other Desired Qualifications 10+ years of experience in some or all of the following disciplines; audit, compliance or risk management of which at least 5 years must include direct experience in compliance or operational risk management (includes audit, FCRM, RCRM, legal, management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk) Demonstrated ability to establish strong working relationship with key partners and senior management Demonstrated capability of exercising independent judgment, critical decision-making, staying organized, and managing a team with multiple priorities and deadlinesAudit, Risk or regulatory examination experience and knowledge of the laws, rules and regulations applicable to WIM is strongly preferred. A working knowledge of the WIM lines of business is desired. Articulate, poised and comfortable in direct interaction with senior members of WIM Lines of business, WIM Compliance, and Wells Fargo Audit Services Knowledge and understanding of corporate policies and requirements related to compliance and/or operational risk management, and specifically, the Independent Monitoring, Testing & Validation Policy and the related Enterprise Testing Control Testing & Validation Operating Procedures Advanced degree (MBA), preferably in accounting or finance, or certification (CRCM, CPA, CIA).
