The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company. Within Wells Fargo Compliance, the Enterprise Testing team is responsible for the development and design of methodologies and standards for review activities across the Enterprise in alignment with the Risk Management Framework, and ensuring effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs, risks, and controls according to standards and other applicable policies. Wealth and Investment Management Testing and Validation Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) provides a full range of personalized wealth management, investment and retirement products and services to clients across U.S.-based businesses including Wells Fargo Advisors, Private Wealth Management, Wells Fargo Trust Services, and Wells Fargo Asset Management. We deliver financial planning, private banking, credit, investment management, and fiduciary services to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. We also serve customers' brokerage needs, supply retirement and trust services to institutional clients, and provide investment management capabilities delivered to global institutional clients through separate accounts and the Wells Fargo Advantage Funds. The WIM Testing & Validation (T&V) function performs regulatory compliance and operational risk testing and issue validation across all the WIM businesses. The Role This leader will manage and support activities of the WFA and Financial Crimes testing teams within WIM Testing & Validation and will document and help ensure compliance with applicable corporate policies, including a special focus on issue validation and escalation activities. This leader will help lead the supported teams through corporate and WIM initiatives and will manage or coordinate certain testing activities horizontally across the WIM teams. This leader will be required to develop and maintain strong relationships within WIM T&V and across WIM Risk, Corporate Risk, Wells Fargo Audit Services, Regulators and Line of Business stakeholders. This position will report into the leader of the WFA and Financial Crimes testing teams within WIM Testing & Validation. Specific duties for this position include, but are not limited to: Subject matter expert on the Issue Management Policy, Independent Monitoring, Testing, and Validation Policy, Enterprise Testing Procedures. Developing oversight processes to ensure supported teams are compliant with all applicable requirements. Maintains inventory of and performs enhanced management and reporting on the WFA and Financial Crimes testing schedules including oversight of the consolidated schedule and any impacts or changes to that schedule. WFA and Financial Crimes T&V liaison with WIM and LOB issue management partners. Independently identifies population of issues that requires validation by WIM T&V and ensures these are on the WIM T&V consolidated schedule. Confirms responsibilities, dates and all other details affecting WIM T&V with issue management partners. May manage WIM T&V validation reviews or coordinated reviews involving support from the automated control testers in accordance with Enterprise T&V standards to ensure comprehensive coverage and consistency of execution. May assist in facilitating independent reviews of the WFA and Financial Crimes testing teams such as internal audits or regulatory inquiries or examinations. May serve as a delegate to the manager of the WFA and Financial Crimes team within WIM Testing & Validation, where needed, and will assist with budgeting, logistics and other functions needed to support the overall team. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 7+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in risk management 2+ years of leadership experience Other Desired Qualifications Experience in Audit, Compliance, Risk and Testing Critical Thinking and Analytical skills Experience cultivating relationships and collaborating with multiple stakeholders, including business leaders, legal, audit and regulators.
