RESPONSIBILITIES   Utilizes advanced skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment and grounds. Supports the National Science Foundation managed United States Antarctic Program as part of the Antarctic Support Contract (ASC). Bristol General Contractors, LLC is seeking a Site Safety and Health Officer/Quality Control Manager in Jacksonville, FL Air Guard. The SSHO/QCM inspects, assesses, facilitates, and monitors all day-to-day site construction activities and field personnel to complete the project in compliance with quality and safety standards. This position provides construction quality control per the approved CQC Plan and Safety / Health leadership providing oversight for regulatory compliance in support of the approved APP / Bristol Health & Safety Program. Major Responsibilities Coordinates with designated Project Manager or Superintendent to ensure Bristol QC and Safety project standards are met. Insures materials are per specifications and schedules inspections as necessary throughout construction. Reads & understands the project plans, & specifications. Maintains positive relationships with customers, sub-contractors, suppliers, and other employees. Ensure compliance with Submittal requirements, including maintaining submittal logs, tracking review/approval/resubmittal, and review of technical submittals as required based on subject matter expertise. Implement field 3-phase Quality Control process in accordance with USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors training. Complete Daily Quality Control and Safety Reports, RFIs, Deficiency Log, and reports deficiencies. The focus must be on safely insuring the quality installation of the features work accomplished are inspected and tested. The results of those inspections/testing records are to be accurate; notwithstanding field productivity. Coordinate your work with the project specifications or equipment buy-out. Visit job sites of remodel projects to field survey existing electrical conditions. Utilize engineering analysis programs and professional judgment to analyze loads, lighting levels, short circuit currents under the supervision of a senior engineer. Conduct value engineering functions. Attend project design team meetings. Interface with various team members, particularly the client, architect, and mechanical contractor/engineer. Work closely with the Rosendin Operations Project Manager to coordinate the design criteria with budgetary issues. Research and resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors. Review plans and technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates under the supervision of a senior engineer. Work on the design and on-going progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with other team members. Assist the Senior Engineer during construction with field observations, design interpretations and design updates The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architectural engineering, or construction sciences Engineering-In-Training certification from the National Council of Engineering Examiners (NCEES) Possesses a LEED-AP accreditation from the US Green Building Council or secures one during their time of employment, no less than 2 years from the date of hire. Can be a combination of education, training and relevant experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Fluency in Engineering Analytic programs for short circuit, over current coordination, and arc flash mitigation programs, e.g. SKM, E-Tap, etc. Working knowledge of codes, and energy efficiency requirements Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others TRAVEL: 0% WORKING CONDITIONS: General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Job Description Job Description* The Survey Technician is responsible forevaluating proposed designs and generating survey layout calculations for the following: Heavy Civil storm drainage systems Retaining walls and Sound walls Bridge Substructure and Superstructure Heavy Civil 3d Model generation from contract documents for automated machine control and survey layout use. Drafting of all layout calculations to accompany electronic layout data. Job Requirements High School Diploma Minimum 10 years of diverse field survey, engineering, and CAD experience. Heavy Highway/Civil experience is a must. Must be proficient in the use of CAD software for generating design data for construction of Heavy Civil projects (Civil 3d, Inroads, Terramodel, Business Center). Experience utilizing and maintaining machine control models on the project level. Trimble Business Center and/or Terramodel experience generating Heavy Highway/Civil machine control models is highly preferred.
