Inspector position exists to effectively assure vendor & manufacturing compliance to Thorlabs ISO9001 quality standards protecting customers. Inspectors perform visual and dimensional inspection of precision parts and make quick, accurate pass/fail decisions on many types of optics including filters, mirrors, crystals, prisms, and lenses. Visual surface quality inspections are often performed under 100 watt bulb in low lit room. Position Summary: This position is a hybrid shop and warehouse role and daily responsibilities will be driven by order demand. Responsible for evaluating, servicing, and repairing tools and equipment.   This includes pre- fabrication of material required for service projects.  Maintain equipment used for service projects.  Fabrication and assembly of PERC manufactured products.
