Responsibilities OBXtek is recruiting for Overview Perform ISSO duties to ensure that the appropriate operational security posture (physical and environmental protection, personnel security, incident handling, and security training and awareness) is maintained for information systems or programs. Duties Participates in IS risk assessment during the A&A process. Develops security requirements for hardware, software, and service acquisitions. Ensures all IA inspections, tests, and reviews are coordinated. Evaluates the adequacy of security measures. Ensures systems, network, and data users are aware of and follow IA policies. Evaluates IT enclave systems and assess risk posture and system security findings and recommends mitigation. Reviews of security assessment and authorization (A&A) documentation in support of Risk Management Framework. Coordinates activities that facilitate the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of assigned systems and applications Provides planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools. Assists government officials in identifying, implementing, and assessing the common security controls. Supports the development and maintenance of the system security plan, to include coordinating system changes with the information system owner and assessing the security impact of those changes. Provides oversight and guidance for day-to-day security activities for assigned systems. Develops or assists in development of system security policy. Monitors compliance with system security policy and providing guidance and recommendations to correct deficiencies. Qualifications - 2 years experience performing Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) duties. - Associate Degree in computer science or related field and 2 years ISSO experience; or no degree and 5 years cybersecurity support - Security+ certification - Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification - Experience with DoD Space Program - Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) - Experience with analyzing vulnerabilities, assessing risks, and assessing security controls - Experience with one or more tools such as ArcSight, Palantir, LogRhythm, Manticore, HBSS - Top Secret security clearance Company Information Headquartered in Tysons Corner, Virginia and founded in 2009, OBXtek is a fast-growing leader in the government contracting field.
