WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Engineering Manager for our Las Vegas, Nevada office. The successful candidate will guide and coordinate major projects through design completion, demonstrating a high degree of creativity, foresight and technical judgment. Duties and Responsibilities: Manages engineering activities for all phases of an assigned project Lead in the formulation of advance technical concepts in proposal development, preliminary design phases and presentations to client Independently perform highly complex professional assignments demanding contributions calling for the application of specialized engineering principles Assure that engineering services are commensurate with professional standards, client requirements, budget control scheduling, cost engineering/control, quality control and project objectives Interact with clients, lead technical project design meetings Provide oversight to design team for various tasks within the scope of a project including training and supervising project team Coordinate with other design disciplines, including structures, hydraulics/drainage, storm water, traffic, electrical, utilities, right of way, and environmental Responsible for preparation of project reports, plans, specifications, and estimate bid packages Support efforts in proposal development, project scoping as well as with client relationship development Be a leader in the Las Vegas highway planning and design market. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program Fifteen (15) years of related experience in the design and management of engineering activities for infrastructure projects Proven success in leading staff and delivering various types of infrastructure projects Nevada PE registration, or ability to receive within 6 months Extensive knowledge of the southern Nevada market Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Business development experience Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation Inroads Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program Proven ability to build and lead high performance teams Previous experience on a design team for Design-Build Projects Experience on projects with NDOT and/or FHWA oversight About WSP USA WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
