ASI is seeking a Logistics Analyst / F-35 Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul and Upgrade Mod Manager to work in the Washington, DC area. This position will serve in support of the Global Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul & Update (GMRO&U) IPT, Sustainment Directorate, Joint Strike Fighter Program Office (JSFPO) in the establishment and maintenance of the Mod War Room.
The diversified, high technology systems for which the individual is responsible support a wide variety of worldwide installations and utilization requirements for both land and carrier-based aircraft weapon systems of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, US Air Force, and foreign countries. The systems represent application of a wide variety of engineering disciplines, e.g. aeronautics, avionics, explosives, electronics, aerodynamics, and mechanics. The complexity of the systems combined with the necessity of maximizing their economic and effective utilization requires the application of broad technical and managerial knowledge. The individual is responsible for ensuring the safety and readiness of assigned systems, while reducing the US Services total cost of ownership.
Managing all aspects of planning and execution of F-35 mod/retrofits from the Change Review Board through implementation on the aircraft and shelf spares. Specifically, participate in determining:
mod/retrofit impacts as a result of changes submitted through change boards
the impact to fielded aircraft in terms of decreased sorties over time and number of days aircraft will be out of service for mod incorporation
which mods can be done concurrently and make recommendations on the best time to incorporate mods based on fleet operations and requirements
Establishing full spectrum of required mods by TMS and individual air vehicle to meet major milestones (e.g. IOC), sequencing of required steps from ECP/CR through TCTD installation to include tracking kit availability and timing associated with ensuring all mods are accomplished in time to meet the major milestones
Assessing the impacts of proposed changes to support products, aircraft reliability and maintainability, and life cycle costs
Assisting in the coordination of depot level modifications between contractor organizations and the user communities to ensure the optimal balance of operational availability, asset optimization, and resource management is achieved when planning modifications and rework
Participating in the development of initial retrofit plans and assessing the tradeoffs between change incorporations at contractor production facilities and user field activities
Continuing communications between prime contractors, organic depots and major command /aircraft user communities to insure maintenance dock availability, aircraft availability for induction and technical skills and equipment availability
Participating in the coordination of long range and short-term planning and induction conferences
Recommending shifts to schedules as required to balancing user operational requirements with aircraft structural and systems requirements
Tracking work in progress, financial execution, and working with stakeholders to mitigate risks to schedules
Providing oversight of standard work package performance and approving/disapproving maintenance work requests
Analyzing US and partner nations’ established processes to drive continuous improvement and support the resolution of conflicts, inconsistencies, omissions, or other technical issues as end-to-end process details are developed
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Master’s degree can be substituted for two years of resource requirements analysis experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience analyzing logistics and maintenance for planning and execution of modifications and Time Compliant Technical Directives
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with supervisors, contractors, employees, administrative personnel, and program office personnel in order to influence officials to accept and implement findings and recommendations
Demonstrates verbal and written communication skills
Possess experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Secret Clearance
