We are seeking a Senior Supervising Project Engineer / Project Manager in South Florida to make a significant contribution to WSP USA’s strategic plan to increase our project management and business development capability. This position can be located in either Fort Lauderdale or Miami. The Senior Supervising Engineer should have experience with the design of civil, highway, and transit related projects. This position will function as the project manager or lead engineer on major projects for the state DOT and other local agency / municipal clients. The Senior Supervising Engineer will manage multiple multi discipline complex projects for both public and private sector clients. Responsibilities also include project management, leading pursuits, maintaining client relationships, staffing projects, design and QA/QC.
Manage Projects and maintain schedule, budget, and profitability of assigned projects, overseeing preparation of plans, specifications, and proposals.
Lead a Civil/Highway design team.
Coordinate with other design disciplines such as structures, hydraulics, traffic, and utilities, etc. including remote office locations.
Collaborating with management to determine long-range plans and objectives, including recommendations on project staffing, evaluating and mentoring of subordinate staff.
Review, monitor and/or develop complex layouts, sketches, plans, specifications and estimates standards and guidelines, correspondence, and/or prepare reports.
Participate in preparation of technical proposals and labor estimates.
Maintain positive client relationships.

Minimum Qualifications :
BS degree in Civil Engineering
Registration as a Professional Engineer in Florida
A minimum of 15 years of experience on large civil transportation projects
Project and staff management experience on large civil transportation projects
Ability to work in this country immediately
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Experience with FDOT
