WSP is currently initiating a search for a Sr. Project Manager - Terminal for our JFK Airport Field Office. Duties and Responsibilities: The Senior Project Manager - Terminal is responsible for the leadership and management of the design work and interaction of the technical team in support of the project’s profitable operation. They will be responsible for proactively managing the project’s technical budget (direct labor and expenses, including technical subconsultants), schedule, technical requirements, contractual obligations, project communications and delivery of quality projects on time, on budget and to the client's satisfaction. In collaboration with the Program Manager - Terminals, they will take appropriate measures to ensure full adherence to applicable contract(s). Primary focus will include: Oversight of procurement, design and construction process by Terminal Developers in compliance with any law, regulations, code, guidance, requirement, program, resolution, policy, Port Authority initiative. Ability to drive outcomes meeting complex and aggressive scope, schedule and budget constraints for major capital programs. Additional Responsibilities: The Senior Project Manager - Terminal reports directly to the Program Manager - Terminal. The Senior Project Manager - Terminal is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the work. Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager – Terminal include, but are not limited to, the following: Day-to-day management and oversight of all terminal work, both design and construction Primary interface with Lessee team regarding all terminal scope, design, construction and ORAT Engagement with JFK technical support resources as needed to support management of terminal work Review work product from technical support team and vetting of any proposed documents or correspondence to be issued to Lessee Regular coordination with Airside and Landside Project Managers, and with Program Manager - Terminal, to ensure comprehensive oversight of Lessee and support of Lessee work efforts. Ensures all project design criteria meets contractual requirements including relevant national standards and the Industry Standard of Care. Leads Terminal team and subconsultants for assigned tasks and deliverables to ensure all deliverables are materially compliant with the contract and delivered within negotiated schedule and budget. Ensures changes are identified and works with the Contract Manager to vet and advance changes to their successful resolution and incorporation into the Work Plan. Participates in monthly (minimum) Project Reviews at the direction and discretion of the Senior Program Manager – Terminals. Manages technical aspects of the risk register for all phases of project deliverable production and addresses issues with developer and project team to ensure all work is completed and out of scope work dealt with in strict accordance with the contractually mandated change and/or claims process. Participates in subconsultant utilization strategy; selection; scope and fee development and negotiation; contracting; and performance. Mentors direct project reports (i.e., design mangers terminals) and staff in all aspects of project design and deliverable production, as well as support and interaction with quality management, contracts management, and schedule control. Actively manages project scope, schedule and budget. Serves as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction. Implements the firm’s project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project. Develops project scope and fee quotation, and assists in the preparation of proposals and contracts. Provides oversight and monitoring of work to less experienced project managers. Coordinates work efforts and review work performed. Schedules and manages for integration of quality management during all phases of a project. Oversees project staffing with departments, offices and divisions. Performs other duties as assigned. Talent is the essence of meeting our client’s objectives, goals and challenges. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering 16 years relevant experience 6 years project management experience Ability to pass a SWAC Background Check.
