Morgan Lewis GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: This position works directly with the Partners managing all aspects of billing, and monitoring unbilled and accounts receivable balances. Regular activities include setup and prebill review, coordinating billing and following up with clients to check on payment progress/eBill status. This role is also responsible for processing time entry transfer/edit requests, working with Fee Generators to understand the Firm's policy, time recording system, and client requirements. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Billing & Time Recording Specialist will be responsible for the following: Supports the Partners by managing all aspects of billing for assigned clients and matters. Reviews matter set up to ensure compliance with rate agreements and outside counsel guidelines. Prepare custom reports through Elite billing system and the Firm's financial reports. Review and follow up with Partners and/or Clients regarding outstanding AR Review time entries to ensure compliance with client billing guidelines. Correspond with Fee Generators in connection with their individual time posted. Process transfers and edits and troubleshoot issues relating to the Intapp and Time Recording Portal systems. Assist with administering Firm's Time Recording System inputting Responsible Attorney/Client requests related to time entries. Maintain client approved timekeeper lists in the Elite billing system. Perform other administrative duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE This job requires: Bachelor's Degree, from four-year college or university, and or, equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced arithmetic skills (compute rate, ratio, percent; able to draw and interpret graphs and charts) Ability to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions and deal with problems in routine situations COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in the following software: Document Management: MS-Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access), FileSite Accounting Software: Intapp, Elite Enterprise, eBilling Hub, Chrome River Communications: Outlook, Office Communicator CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and may occasionally be required to move about. The employee is also regularly required to use a computer, involving substantial movements of the wrists, hands and fingers. The employee is also required to regularly communicate with others. The employee may also occasionally be expected to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision and ability to adjust focus.
