A leading technology company is looking for a Technical Engineering Trainer. The successful candidate will create course materials in PowerPoints, student handouts, and tests. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in Training, Quality Control, Process Development, and Manufacturing processes. The company offers a family-oriented culture and environment!
Technical Engineering Trainer Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly pay: $65/hr
- Worksite: Electronics Testing and Measurement Company (Santa Clara, CA 95051 - Onsite)
- W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
- 40 hours/week, 24 Month Assignment
Technical Engineering Trainer Responsibilities:
- Create course materials in PowerPoints, student handouts, and tests.
- Partner directly with subject matter experts to design and develop engaging content for a variety of audiences and delivery modes (self-paced, classroom, workshops, etc.) with clear strategies and tactics to achieve desired learning outcomes.
- Lead training modules (classroom, virtual, and workshops) for Production & Engineering personnel on a variety of technical topics.
- Organize, schedule, manage enrollments, record attendance, and ensure training materials are available for in-person training courses.
- Develop process specifications and research on new learning technologies.
- Engage Production Management, Engineering, Quality, and subject matter experts to gather feedback & process improvements to be incorporated into training modules.
- Work with Engineering, Production, and Quality to provide training or briefing on updated process or procedure changes arising from process improvements, quality controls, etc.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for specialized resources and instruction which are outside of the company's core competencies.
- May be involved in performing data analytics and driving Quality Improvement initiatives for Engineering and Production.
Technical Engineering Trainer Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Training, Quality Control, Process Development, and Manufacturing processes.
- Bachelor's Degree/Master's Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or Science.
- Experience/knowledge in developing and running training programs is highly desirable.
- Experience/knowledge in optical parts fabrication such as optical grinding, shaping, and polishing will be an added advantage.
- Experience/knowledge in process development skills including (p)FMEA, tolerance analysis, DoE, SPC, GR&R, and CpK.
- Ability to communicate with others effectively and concisely having leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset, diligent and accurate
- Self-motivated and flexible individual able to function in a high energy fast-paced team environment with minimal direction.
