Job Responsibilities:
• Provide instruction in aviation maintenance technology to students in compliance with FAA, State and regulatory
body requirements
• Demonstrate proper safety procedures
• See that equipment and/or labs are properly maintained
• Establish and maintain academic and attendance records
• Submit attendance, grades, student evaluation, and all other required documentation and reports per established
procedures
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom or lab
• Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with class participants
• Work as a team member with all other instructors
Requirements:
• Required Federal Aviation Administration Certification: Valid Airframe and Powerplant certificate
• Must have 3 or more years of hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance (special considerations will be given for
more diverse experience).
• All applicants subject to a pre-employment drug screen
• Highschool diploma or equivalent
• Prefer prior instructional experience
• Prefer experience troubleshooting and maintaining a wide variety of aircraft systems
• Prefer knowledge and understanding of Airmen Certification Standards (ACS) specifically the general subjects
required to receive a rating of Airframe or Power Plant
• Excellent communication skills, professional appearance and teamwork oriented
