TRISTAR is seeking an Engineer (Mid) 2 - ESSA for our government customer located in Crane, IN


Position Description:

  • This position shall develop enclosures for infrastructure project explosive safety site approval requests
  • This will include completing project descriptions in WebSAR (Web-enabled Site Approval Request System
  • Responsible for providing siting rationale with enclosures stating project need, applicable risk acceptance letters, Potential Explosive Site (PES), Explosive Site (ES) sheets and list of enclosures
  • Required to prepare responses to RFIs (Requests For Information) submitted by the government customer and will interact with the Installation Site Approval Request Team (ISART) and serve as the point of contact for explosives safety project requirements and help guide requirements during development and review of design documents
  • Provide design reviews, site visits, as well as attending coordination and progress meetings as needed.

  • Hazard Analysis
  • Risk Acceptance Letters
  • Protective construction validation with NAVFAC Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC)
  • Window Analysis -as applicable

Position Requirement:

  • 3 years of professional experience in engineering
  • Special skills required: Knowledge or experience with Computer Aided Drafting (CAD)/Geographic Information System (GIS)/ArcGIS software systems
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • An active Secret Clearance or higher or the ability to obtain one

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor's level degree in Engineering discipline
