About the Role  

As a journeyman level technician, in this his role you will be responsible for the effective day to day execution of maintenance and repair of heavy duty mobile equipment, identifying reliability issues, and managing reporting. Additionally, you will mentor less experienced maintenance technicians and teaching maintenance best practices.

Qualifications  

• Maintenance and repair of Heavy Duty Mobile Mining Equipment. Including, but not limited to, Haul Trucks, Dozers, Hydraulic Shovels, Motor Graders, Front End Loaders, and articulating trucks.
• Understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic fundamentals
• Experience with OEM maintenance repair manuals and schematics.  
• Knowledge of condition monitoring, contamination control, basic air conditioning, and lubrication.  
• Ability to safely operate and move various mine equipment for servicing.
• Ability to learn operation of small mobile equipment, aerial lifts, forklifts, etc.  
• Understand confined space, fall protection, equipment isolation, and basic welding standards and procedures.  
• SAP experience a plus. 
• Ability to lead, mentor and teach less experienced maintenance mechanics.  
• Able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English.  
• 3 years of experience preferred.

Physical Demands of the Role  

· Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, including walking up and down stairs and across uneven surfaces.  

· Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.  

· Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.  

· Ability to work in both hot and cold environments with high humidity.  

· Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, and squat, occasionally in confined spaces.
