Position Overview

Crossroads is seeking a Senior Manager, Market Planning & Operations, to support one of our clients.

Basic Function of the Position

Support marketing departments through planning, budgeting and operations efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Day-to-day management of three Marketing budgets: CES Marketing, CES Marketing
Overhead and Marketing Gen, including developing proposals, forecasts, contract routing, and
processing invoices.
-Develop and maintain process workflows for both Marketing and cross-functional projects,
including developing timelines, coordinating information and requirements with related teams
and departments.
-Assist in Marketing & Communications planning for CES, working with the team to create and
implement plans to increase awareness, media coverage, exhibit space and attendance.
-Support CES registration through site development, testing and troubleshooting.
-Work with internal stakeholders, creative team and vendor partners to manage promotional item
and award orders.
-Maintain master calendar in Asana to keep the organization aligned on key priorities and
upcoming projects.
-Act as Marketing department liaison for CES administrative needs, including staff & quick
guide development, hotel reservations, name badges, uniform orders, staff shipment, etc.
-Create on-site staff schedule for the Marketing team at CES.
-Execute marketing deliverables for specific CES related projects.
-Perform other duties as required by business needs.

Work Experience

-5-8 years’ equivalent work experience.
-Previous team collaboration and project involvement.
-Previous event planning or trade show experience preferred.


-Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred, or commensurate
-Experience working in a fast-paced environment and with a marketing, advertising or
communications teams is preferred. 

Additional Information

-Some travel required
-Media training a plus.


-Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams of all levels of staff.
-Must be able to drive timelines and see individuals meet project completion expectations.
-Flexibility to optimize budgets, projects and timelines as needs and performance indicators
-Ability to multitask and take on a variety of diverse assignments in a deadline-driven

-Familiarity marketing planning, trends and best practices. Ability to write and create content for
various platforms
-Must be able to interact with all levels of staff and efficiently handle multiple priorities; be a
team player with consensus building skills.
-Must be a strategic thinker and problem solver who demonstrates the ability to quickly grasp
and analyze ideas and concepts.
-Must have knowledge of and ability to successfully use all MS Office applications in day to day
role. This includes Outlook, Word and Excel.
-Experience using project management tools, like Asana, preferred.
