Essential Functions
Communications
Communications
- Research, collect and organize information for use in news releases, news tips, media advisories, agendas and related materials.
- Assist with production of news releases and associated materials; coordinate media-related photo and video requirements.
- Assist with production of video stories; writing and editing scripts, attending site visits, interviewing subjects and other duties.
Public Relations
- Respond to communications and marketing-related inquiries.
- Manage Editorial Calendar for all content, including Social Media.
- Proactive pitching to journalists and publications through Meltwater platform.
- Work with team on special strategic projects (events, promotions, conferences/summits etc)
- Engender and maintain relationships with PRP, PRF/PU staff and faculty in addition to a variety of communication, media and marketing representatives.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Meet deadlines and work in a team environment.
- Demonstrate exceptional writing ability, including the capacity to write in the style, tone and “voice” of the organization.
- Utilize strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to be detail-oriented and multitask projects.
- Operate independently, with limited supervision.
- Produce work at a rapid pace.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications or related field required.
- Three years of experience writing/editing in a media or corporate communications environment.
