Shafer Equipment Company is an equipment rental company located in Chambersburg Pennsylvania. We have been servicing the tri-state area for over 14 years. We specialize in the rental, service, parts and sales of boom lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, telehandlers and much more! We are looking for an experienced technician to join our team as a Mechanic! Must have a positive attitude and be ready to help our customers minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and analyze issues with equipment in our rental fleet as well as customer owned machines.

Operate and inspect machines for damages or faulty parts.

Perform repairs on jobsites or at the customer's location.

Replace or repair hydraulic system components (hoses, fittings, filters, pumps, etc.)

Replace or repair fuel system components (pumps, fuel lines, filters, etc.)

Replace or repair electrical components (wiring, wiring harnesses, connectors, etc.)

Replace or repair control components (control boxes, joysticks, foot switches, etc.)

Perform minor engine service, oil changes, starter/alternator replacement, etc. - Perform annual inspections.

Requirements

Must have your own tools.

Experience working on Aerial Equipment and/or Material Handling Equipment highly preferred.

Good communication skills.

Ability to diagnose machine issues.

Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Class A or B CDL is a plus - Subject to background check
